Bitcoin will come to Zero by 2027

I don't see a world where Crypto doesn't hit zero eventually.

Quantum is coming and it will 100% be able to crack wallets.

2027 is most definitely early, but it's coming.

If more people start becoming aware of this with certainty , will it not cause panic early causing big crash ?

Recently a research paper came out saying that quantum computers in 2027 will strong enough to drain wallets. Does that mean all crypto will finally come to Zero ?
It's unlikely. They mentioned researchers are also working to build secure systems to avoid this. It's a real threat but i doubt it will bring crypto to zero.

I dont think quantum computing would be available for public and masses there is already a very big disruption with AI

With the current market situation, this seems impossible. It will be as real as the stock market.

Like someone once told me, you will have a lot more problems to deal with when that happens. The world wide web will surely upgrade to the new standards way before this happens, so nope, not like that atleast.

BTC may well become zero some day, but this is probably the least likely reason why. We can only speculate. ;)

What makes you believe that precisely in 2027 quantum computers will be widely available and crypto will just keep static without announcing any updates to improve its potential security risks?

I don't know if it makes sense but what if they use Quantum computers themselves to make the wallets more secure and resistant to hacking by quantum computers? You will have quantum computers trying to crack wallets that are secured by other quantum computers.

What do you think will happen to the banks? The HTTPS that you use for the transmission of sensitive information? :P

At this point I feel like it’ll reach 1 mil sooner than 0. With all the institutions and governments jumping aboard it’s safe to assume that BTC is here to stay, what it’ll do in terms of price short term really doesn’t matter anymore.

I don't really think so. I'm programmer and engineer. And look for getting at that point there is something called stable qubits. So, for getting at that point we need quantum computers able to reach between 10k - 25k of stable qubits. The issue? Right now the most advanced quantum computers can reach only between 100-1000 stable qubits and with lot LOT of errors not even stable let me add. And even more important for breaking the bitcoin we might need MILLIONS of stable qubits. So, is it possible? Yes of course, some day we will reach it.

Is 2027 the year we will achieve it? Is almost impossible. It's too soon.

If you’ve got enough computing power to actually manage to crack wallets you’d be much better off participating in the network by validating blocks.
