You can only change your username once per year, and only if you are a Jr. VIP, Premium Member or Marketplace seller.

If you are a Jr VIP, Premium Member or Marketplace seller please let us know what you would like your username to be changed to. Please check the availability of your username change here Register | BlackHatWorld

If the username is already taken and not available, please request an alternative username.

Please note that usernames are case-sensitive, so send it to us exactly how you want it to display (e.g., @UserName141334).

Honestly think this is a good approach now because I started and went right in. I kinda know what I am looking for but you at least need some practice to get to know who is who, steps in your journey, recognise who gives good advice vs generic advice ad even the occasional bots.
 
Thanks for the explanation, but I'm still confused. I created a post yesterday that was deleted, where can I post to increase my post count so that I can create my own post? I made a genuine inquiry

Hello there, I'm new here and also to SEO so was reading this post, what I do not understand is if as new member can I still ask for advice and create topic for it? My long term goal is to find some answers and see if I can improve my off page SEO and move up in SEO world. To rank up I understand I would need to engage in other posts but as I'm new I don't think I can currently add much value to posts.
From what i understand i cannot create threads and ask questions, do I understand correctly?

You're more than welcome to ask questions and start a topic if you need advice.

Everyone starts somewhere, and your curiosity is exactly what this place is for.

As a new member, you can create threads in most public sections of the forum.

Just be sure to post in the right category (like the White Hat SEO or check the Newbie Guide sections), and keep your questions specific, that will help others give you better answers.

I understand that it would be better to work slowly and gradually here rather than rushing.
