Hello, everyone. I need your help to learn more about bot farms. In Romania, they were used to propel a candidate into the second round of the presidential elections on platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. Hundreds of accounts were created to spam a specific message everywhere.

The idea is that I’d like to try building something similar, but I don’t know where to start. I should mention that we’re an agency, so we have the budget, but we lack the know-how. Could you please guide me on where to begin my research?

Thank you very much, and I’m looking forward to your responses.

I don't know why, but whenever I see someone asking about bots here, they seem to be completely ignored.

Probably for two reasons:

  1. Very few people actually know how to do this, and those who do might not even see the topic.
  2. This isn’t the kind of information most people would be willing to share, not even for money.
So far, I’ve managed to find some information on YouTube. From what I understand, in China, these bot farms seem to work like this: they purchase multiple phones, each with a prepaid SIM card, and then set up accounts on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Gmail, etc., for each phone. Essentially, each phone becomes its own separate identity.

In my opinion, though, this method seems way too labor-intensive. For example, 50 phones equal 50 identities, which is still quite low for achieving any significant results.

That said, I’m still looking for guidance and hoping there are others out there who have thought about this and might be willing to share what they’ve learned.

Maybe check @lucky.sparks journeys, you will see that you don't necessarily need phones

There’s one thing I know for sure about this topic. In my country, an alternative rapper is one of the most streamed artists, and every time he releases a song or an album, he makes it onto Spotify's global charts without facing any issues.
Additionally, 4-5 years ago, many rap songs released in my country reached exaggerated view counts, clearly driven by bots, yet nothing happened to them.
In my opinion, they use influencers to manage both organic and bot traffic simultaneously. Of course, since companies are backing them, I’m not sure if an individual could afford the costs of doing this.
Some old-school and new-school rappers in my country have talked about how it's possible to make deals directly with Spotify to boost their streams.

You only need the right tools in your hand.
Allow me to explain better.
Your target is Instagram, right? So , what to do? First find a software to mass create instagram accounts , then use this accounts or hire someone to do it for you to spam with your target post.
Easy.

The key ? Automations!

Which agency?

I wouldn't say that's accurate. There are plenty of people who know how to run a bot farm, and likely hundreds of people on-site already doing so, including myself.

The lack of responses is likely due to people take the time to research and figure this stuff out thereself, as it typically requires custom software. Nobody is going to spend a bunch of time and money figuring out how to do something, just to give away all the details on how they're doing it. If you really want to learn, then you need to do your own research. Running a bot farm isn't a simple 1-2-3 setup, so you can't really expect that someone is going to take the time to write out all the steps, how will that benefit them at all? It won't, it will just add competition.

If you want to learn it bad enough, you need to get out there are start doing research. Sitting here expecting someone to give out the blueprint just isn't going to happen.

Farming requires multiples devices whether you are running bots or not since you are aiming for simultaneous tasks.

And to answer your question in regards to the size of the farm, and what you described seeming small. People use API when running bulk mass actions... Using phones to achieve this is only one way of doing it. This is why you need to do more research my friend. Research will get you the answers you are looking for.

Multiple devices is not required. You can achieve the same results from one PC using API.
You should use the multi - quote feature to avoid post inflation warnings :)

Hey there!

Building a bot farm for social media is a pretty tricky and risky move. While I get the appeal of getting a candidate or brand to go viral, using bots to spam platforms like TikTok, Facebook, or YouTube can easily get you into trouble with the platforms, and in some cases, it could even be illegal depending on the jurisdiction. Plus, these kinds of tactics can result in account bans, loss of credibility, or worse.

If you're looking to grow your presence or get engagement without relying on bots, I’d suggest focusing on more legitimate growth strategies, like:

  1. Social Media Automation: Tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, or SocialBee can help schedule posts, track analytics, and engage your audience across multiple platforms. It’s all legit and helps you scale without any risk.
  2. Paid Ads: Running targeted ads on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok is a great way to get in front of the right audience. You can manage budgets, reach specific demographics, and scale your campaigns effectively.
  3. Influencer Partnerships: If you have the budget, influencer marketing is a great way to get your message out organically to the followers of well-established content creators.
  4. Growth Hacking Techniques: Leverage viral content, referral programs, and creating engaging, shareable posts that tap into trends—this can increase visibility without any bots.
Overall, it’s best to focus on authentic engagement and building real relationships with your audience. Social media platforms reward genuine content and interactions, which leads to more long-term growth.

Hope this helps!
