I'm trying to decide between paying for link insertion or a full article publication on the same website. The cost difference is huge. Link insertion is much cheaper, while a full article link costs like 5x - 10x more. Do you think it's worth paying the extra for a full article link, or is link insertion effective enough?

Go for link insertion then.
Find an article which ranks already and get your link from there... this way, you get seo benefits + free traffic.

this one's tricky. If the seller knows what they're doing there's a reason why they've priced link insertions so cheaply, and they obviously won't tell you the reason.

It's possible that your link will be inserted into a page that's penalized by google in some way, or it's completely deindexed (in which case your link insertion will have zero value).

It's also possible that the link insertion is on a page with dozens of other links, in which case the value you'll get out of this link will be minimal at best, or - most likely - zero at worst.

Not sure that this is true, but there's a myth going on around the SEO community that google rewards the 1st link on a page with the most authority (link juice) while all subsequent links on the page only getting a fraction of the juice.

Again, this might be a myth only, but if it's true and your link insertion is 10th or twentiest on the page... well, no wonder the price is so low in that case as you'll hardly get any value out of it :)

On the other hand, the guest post - while mostly useless in the beginning due to being placed on a page with zero authority and zero traffic - might be worth its price in gold in 6-12 months when the guest post ages, ranks, and starts getting traffic and authority, both of which will trickle down into your website...

You really need to do your due diligence on these things, as SEO is one of the most smoke and mirrors industry for newbies, it's so easy to be scammed by seasoned experts that know what they're doing and how to push your buttons to give them money...

Guest Post is a new article is published with a link to your site. A link insertion is when the website links to your website from an existing page.

Both strategies can boost your rankings or potentially result in penalties.

The guest post approach is generally safer, as earning links from fresh content appears more natural.

If you're looking for a cost effective way to get results quickly, link insertion works well because it taps into the authority of existing content. But if you're thinking long-term and want something that offers more relevance and branding potential, investing in a full article is worth the extra cost. It gives you customized content and a better chance to make a lasting impact.

It depends on your goals and budget. If you have a limited budget, you can go for the link insertions. If the article is already ranking for suitable keywords and receiving organic traffic, it will provide great value. But if the anchor placements and the part of the article don't fit the topic of your site, it will affect your site negatively. If you are ready to invest, you can go with the guest posts. You can make the article more relevant to your site, keywords, & topic of the pages.

I agree with your point that guest posts are more cost effective compared to niche edits. However, when it comes to link building, it's important to explore a variety of strategies such as guest posts, PBNs, niche edits, PR, and others. Focusing solely on a single source can result in unnatural link-building techniques and may leave a footprint.

Just use link insertion—once it’s indexed, it will deliver the same value as publishing new content. Ensure that the old article is high-quality and relevant to your niche.

Thanks for elaborate answers, appreciate it. I will go with the link insertion, as I can choose where the links will be inserted and that's nice. Do you think the indexing will go smoothly, will Google find these links naturally in a few days? The sites are good quality, no spam shit and similar stuff, links are also reasonably priced, from 10$ to 100$ based on website, traffic, etc.

It comes down how risk-averse you are.
  • Guest posts are considered to be safer
  • I always used "unnaturally many link insertions" and never had any issues.
Especially if you have other backlinks, I'd go for insertions 90% of the time.

If you are looking for cost effective then link insertion is the good option

It really depends on your goals and budget. Link insertion is cheaper and can give you quick results if it’s on a good page. It’s a good choice if you need something cost-effective and fast. Just make sure the page is high-quality and relevant to your site.
Paying for a full article costs more but can be better in the long run. It gives you a custom piece of content that’s more likely to boost your site’s relevance and authority over time.
If you’re tight on cash, go with link insertion. If you can spend more and want something more impactful, a full article is worth the extra money.

Depends upon your budget and goal for short-term benefits and low budget, link insertion is best. If you have a budget for long-term benefits, a paid article is best.

Mostly there will be less price difference between link insertion and guest posting. In your case you can go with link insertion instead of guest post because it's cost effective and also results are almost same as a guest post links. Some times even you can get quicker result for link insertion than guest posting!

For SEO and Direct Traffic link insertion might be more effective if your primary goal is to improve search engine rankings and drive targeted traffic and for Brand Building and Engagement, Paid articles can be more effective if you want to build your brand’s authority, provide valuable content to your audience, and engage readers on a deeper level. Ultimately, combining both methods can often yield the best results. Using paid articles to create valuable, engaging content and link insertion to build your site's authority and drive traffic can create a well-rounded strategy.

The position does indeed matter, at least according to a case study by @davids355 two years ago. You can check out the small case study here >>> https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/c...content-affect-its-impact-on-ranking.1417835/

Though sample size was small, it was still useful.

Anything more than 3 links on a page is a No for me. I usually go for just 1 link.

While you choose link insertion analyze it more like what the external links that existing articles have and their metric stats too

Check out the Keyword ranking they used because if many keywords are added in one article then it is not good to go

Link Insertion has both positive and cons so before getting the link analyse the article

If you are not okay then go with New guest post article and ask discounts

Link insertion is more cost effective and faster way but make sure the content quality is high and relevant to your niche.

Depending on the domain, link insertion should be enough
You could get 10 insertions from 10 different sites
