When analyzing the SERPs most of the "best of" keywords are dominated by particularly "thin content".
The DR is also low for most sites.
Sites with literally 10 pages are ranking+ all the Google updates are mostly for/and applied to the USA market.

I wonder if anyone here on BHW is doing Foreign Affiliate Marketing.

I've mostly on focused on the US. Recently started building a site for a specific country, Ii discovered that the niche is actually easy to rank for. Though it is not an affiliate niche. Affiliate niches would do great to with little to no competition as well.
 
I always wanted to try it with translated content and something like Amazon Affiliates as that would be pretty easy to set up but I was a lazy fuck.

Heard a few people made solid money this way.
 
I know there is a lot of Swedes doing it in Sweden, but the volume of searches is not as in US for example, so the earnings are not at all on par with English speaking countries.

You are right but you can always go for a bigger demographic.

Yes, I'm trying to do it in Europe. But, due to the language barrier, I put it on hold for now. Can you tell me more about the sites you visited? Are they running white hat offers like hosting, coupons, etc or clickbank offers?
 
I'm running a test site (really poor metrics as it's a test site that I've run experiments on over the last 5 years) that is ranking for some kws in Bing FR since publishing in Jan 21.

The same data also initially ranked on subdomains in IT and DE, but bombed after a couple of weeks.

100% copy and pasted ai generated content.

Haven't monetized yet, but should really get my arse in gear asap with this as a project.

I just want to know if ChatGPT can generate articles in French, German, Italian without errors. Is the quality as good as English articles?
 
I thought about doing this too, but I'm so bad at building websites, maybe I can try it for youtube.

I'm in the UK. I used Frase to create the articles as it, mainly, auto-optimises output based on the geographic-specific serp results.

I used Deepl to check snippets of the output and they seemed to be very readable.

The thing, IMO, with this type of content/ site is to get visitors off your site asap and onto the vendor site in order to drop your affiliate cookie so an above the fold "Too busy to read? Click here for our #1 choice" image works pretty well.

Thanks. Whether the content is useful or not for readers is a different thing, but it should be passed as quality content by Google in order to rank, right? That's why I asked you.

Never too late to start, may seem complex to set up, but once you get it going, such sites can generate niche passive income in the long term, with minimal maintenance.

My country is a bit too small, but other EU countries, are good for Amazon affiliate sites, ones that have Amazon Marketplaces & Amazon Affiliate - France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, UK.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it ;), is to get eyes on your site (rank) and then drop your affiliate cookie (bank).

Thanks. But, what do you mean by dropping cookie? Just visiting the offers page would create the cookie for users, right? Isn't enough?

yes, that's what happens in less competitive markets.
what kind of niches were you looking where that happens?
