Yes. 0 dollars.

I'm pretty good at generating traffic when I need to (I think) but I just don't know how to monetize... I even have a fully functional premium grade software but I can't get anyone interested in even trying the trial version. I don't know if it's because the software itself is ultimately useless or my traffic generation just sucks or because people just don't even want to buy software these days.

I'm literally willing to do anything to generate money from my own businesses/online now. If there's any expert here who thinks they can help me, I will send them the software website and I'd like your HONEST opinion, should I keep working on getting money from something I've put 1000+ hours into developing on my own or give up and maybe use it as a resume polisher at the best. Honestly if someone thinks they can help me generate money from this I'd be willing to give them whatever cut they want.

I also have a few websites and domain names that are pretty top level but I don't know how to generate money from them. One website is an NSFW website but unless I did shopify idk what I'd do to make money on there. Is shopify a legit way to make cash?

What would you do if you started out with 0? How would you build?

I am trying to learn. I know I have what it takes. Please let me know.

The easiest thing to start is affiliate marketing ir freelancing, if you have a skill.

Figure out your traffic source.

Figure out what your audience needs to hear/read to buy.

Execute

I will be in a better position to advice you if you share the names of the website and name of the software that you built. You can send me a DM and I will go through the list and come back with my detailed feedback.

Tell us a little more about it, what does it do? Is it a one time purchase or a monthly subscription? How high or low is it priced when compared to your competitors?

Another thing to take care of is your landing page. Maybe the copywriting isn't good or the page isn't attractive enough for the visitors.

You have to solve a problem. Your software should exist only to solve a problem. People don't buy another software, they buy a solution to a problem they have.

You can build the best software ever, if it doesn't solve a real problem, it won't sell. It's not a matter of tech, it's a matter of problem solving.

If no people even tries the service it means one or several of the following :

- You don't really solve a problem
- You solve a problem but people don't understand it = website / copy / marketing
- People don't trust your website / service
- Your traffic is not composed of people who face the problem you solve
- Your own mental barriers about earning money : huge role
- Others I don't think of

Earning money = providing solutions / value that people are ready to pay.

That being said, I'd still like to congratulate you, as you're doing stuff to improve yourself, you want to learn more, you want to get better results. That's the best mindset to have in order to get results, sooner or later.

You're trying things and that's great. While others are spending they days watching Netflix and waiting for money to come to them.

Keep learning / iterating / questioning yourself and you'll manage to succeed. You have the skills to earn money online.

Just keep grinding and do not get in panic, perhaps learn how to sell... lots of books and online courses about the topic. Create your sales funnel or hire people to do cold calls and emails for you.
A good and professional online presence of your company/software will also help.

I don't believe I can post that here. I'd PM but I don't believe I have the ability to yet, or at least I don't see the option anywhere (it's ok to pm the website, right?).

I would like to do a subscription service. But it's a tool to manage productivity and track how your time is spent online. It's complete with graphs, data about what you do on your PC, and even options to block unproductive websites/applications.

I think my website is pretty good but I don't know at this point.

Great post. I appreciate that & I appreciate your vote of confidence in me. I believe my software solves a problem, but maybe for not enough people for it to matter. I also understand I have some mental barriers and frankly maybe don't even believe in myself or that my software can do well. But frankly, I need an objective viewpoint.

I believe I can do well if I get to the grind... I will take your words of wisdom and move forward. I appreciate it.

If you start out with 0 you need to trade your time/skill for money - since you don't have money.

You said you are good with generating traffic - so you can use that skill to sell.

Next step is to choose what exactly your service would be and to choose a niche where you'll sell it.

When you decide on that you need to make irresistible offer - Offer people feel stupid to say no to.
Go to Alex Hormozi website and see his program - it's completely FREE - and NO UPSELLS - I used that to make my offer

Once you have SUPREME OFFER (good offer will do 50% of the sale himself), it's time to find clients

Key to finding clients:
- Be consistent - do the outreach EVERY DAY - and STICK TO IT
- PUMP UP the numbers - you need to send 100 outreachs at least EVERY DAY
- DON'T expect fast results - maybe you'll get them maybe not. If you expect fast results you'll only be dissapointed if you don't get them. "You can't judge yourself for the results, only for your actions" - therefore, focus on having the CONSISTENT and HIGH QUANTITY outreach.

To sumarrize:
- Find skill that you are going to trade along with time or money
- Find customers you are going to sell it to
- Create IRRESISTIBLE offer
- OUTREACH (PUMP UP the numbers, BE CONSISTENT)

Keep us updated brother on your progress! :D
Thanks for the detailed post. I will check out this Alex Hormozi website and see what I can do. I agree about consistency, and I've noticed with my own pages that consistency is the key to growth with all of them. Thanks for the ideas, I will come back to this post as I move forward.

Many people actually want this. I personally use the app Freedom. It works both on phones and computers.

But... no one googles for this solution. I stumbled onto it by accident in a reddit post or something. Tiktok would be the platform for you.

What niche of softwares/websites you have? (Trying to understand your targetted audience)

Since you have skill in software development, then what i will suggest is to find a partner who is good in market. With that combo, you will be earning good money.

If you say you can generate traffic then that's one of the main things needed, the part after that is closing them / getting them to click buy

From what i've learnt, find your strengths / weaknesses and partner up with some people / hire some one who can fill in those weaknesses (converting traffic into sales)

In my case my main problem I face right now is I'm having a rough time getting initial traffic, its slow but it's coming, I'd much prefer to pay for traffic / influencers to promote than to grow from 0 so I can focus on closing / getting them to click buy. I'm a software dev too and made quite a bit of money off this program I made (about $15k in a month) because it filled a need, send me a dm :)
