Hey guys, been lurking for a long time and reading as much as I can before creating an account and posting a question. I have a business question I was hoping someone could answer. Sorry if its dumb but im new to this.

So Im an American but live in Europe an have an LLC in the states for an ecommerce business I have. I did my research before making it as im selling products and the risk of getting sued is there.

Ive been looking at opening an adult tube and doing reuploading and affiliate links. Im still in the early stages of figuring out how to make it work before i bite the bullet and start spending money on making porn sites. My question is, how do these adult marketing affiliates work? Do they want an llc and a business bank account all set up before they do business with me like my ecommerce suppliers do or can I just give them my personal bank account in my name and get paid that way since im not really selling anything and am just driving traffic and getting paid for doing so? Just dont want to start this process and then get blindsided on the back end and have to go through the whole llc formation process and opening another bank account etc.

Thanks

You're not required to open llc to start receiving payments as an affiliate, but if you're going big then better have an llc around, it's a better choice than filling individual tax forms.

Appreciate it. So they will accept me as a sole proprietor and send payment to whatever bank account? Theres no business license needed or weird documents to submit? I appreciate the answer and help

If the company is established in the US they'll ask all US affiliates to submit a W-9 application, some do ignore it, don't know how or why they do that, & i don't know much about US tax system but i believe like the rest of the globe, tax on individual income is still much higher than Business income tax.

Ok thanks I appreciate it

Don't think about it too much bro. First, you make the $ then you need to think about where you pay your taxes :)
Lol appreciate it. I guess you are right. Just trying to keep everything on the up and up. I have a shitty complicated tax situation since I live abroad.

I'm very familiar with this situation. It's not a bad thing. The internet is international and contains lots of tax loopholes. You can see it mainly on marketplaces like Upwork, Fiverr, etc.

After starting, I recommend that you'll go to a local accountant who deals with an online business.
