How Do Clients Pay You?

Okay this is a good problem *Knocks on Wood* -

I have few high playing clients now and I wanted to know how do you guys get paid?

Like by cheque or some online payment system? I hope it's not Paypal (Their fees are INSANE!).

I just don't think it's feasible for me to run around everywhere like a chicken with it's head cut off collecting payment (Cheques) on the last day of the month.

I also don't think getting paid by cheques is a good idea if I'm traveling or decide to work from another city for a while.

If you do collect online payment, is it something I should mention in the contract as well?

My higher paying clients use Stripe. They pay by CC. Not one of them pays by PP. I think that's something you take if you're dealing with people in IM. Outside of IM, people usually pay by CC.

I don't even take checks. Takes too long to process and the chances of it bouncing are way too high.
 
merchant processor + authnet. check/ach whenever possible to limit chances of chargebacks. stripe, for side projects :)
 
every client is going to pay you differently. Most established businees with 20 or more employees are going to mail you a check. Net 5 is fine. For newer busineses get paid upfront and cc is ok. Most smaller businesses will pay with cc and stripe works great.
 
I would use stripe, I also believe there are other services that will charge reoccurring every month, of course for a fee though.

May I ask what kind of service you are providing and charging for? Is it SEO?

Was it a gif? Bc gifs don't work on BHW anymore.

OP, I actually have one client that pays through PP. I only use that for clients I trust.

One thing I noticed is everyone uses different payment processors. I think it all depends on you. You don't want to take checks, and that's fine. CC, direct deposit or PP might be a better choice for you.

Maybe you should ask your clients how they prefer to pay.
 
Either pay-pal or bank deposit. PayPal fees are covered by the client of course.
 
I always use Payoneer. Best and easy way to get paid.
 
For local clients: EFT.
International clients: Payfast (local credit card processor) or PayPal.
 
over 500#ß i use a bank transfer. below PayPal
 
Depends on the services you're providing/products selling and the amounts transferred, but Paypal works for me. The fees between payment processors aren't dramatically different, so it's not like you're saving thousands by using one provider vs another.

I offer full off page SEO. Plus the general help / ideas.

Has anyone of you guys tried invoicely? I think I'll try it out so I can get paid online.
