Does anyone know how important up votes are for top comment? After a few quick searches it sounds like up votes are only a small part of getting top comment. If someone wants to share, what else helps for getting the top comment?

Making some replies to your comment also helps. You can even reply with the same account you used for the comment.

Depends on the video you're trying to rank on. Videos with a low # of comments are easy to rank with either comment replies or upvotes, videos with a large # of comments require both. As stated by mnunes, replying to the comment with the same account is usually enough if upvotes alone don't rank the comment.

I have a google account with 2 channels, i reply with those 2, use 500 upvotes. As long as im not ghosted i've always gotten top comment. If top comment has like 1500 upvotes i don't even try.
