Its kinda weird for one of my sites.
Ranking was not affected at all. All page 1 kws remain in page 1.
However, google analytics shows my traffic cut by almost half.
BUT, amazon report shows me conversion rate increased by 2 times over the past one month.
Is somebody experiencing the same weird stuffs?

I have been updating random sites with different things and I also have a part time contractor simply adding 500 words to each index (thanks to the advice of german seo on this forum) and not use main keywords in the text. Obviously it's early to tell and it's not enough data to prove its what did it, but this site had absolutely no changes except going from 441 words on the index with 2% keyword density to 941 words with under 1% keyword density. The site just indexed before the jump. I will monitor my other sites to see what happens with them. I have about 200-300 that lose rank from Fred out of about 1000 or so.

Almost all of my top listings didn't change. I think it's because if its #1 it could possibly be 2-3x as powerful as #2 so even with a penalty it doesn't drop. I can imagine comparing #30 to #40 there isn't a huge difference so a penalty will really make it drop quite a bit. Also I put more effort into my top sites and the ones ranked on page 3-4 have been neglected.

Yes, i recovered alot of my KWs but still not fully back its been 14 days
Wish you all the best, I'm still playing with keyword density. Made more changes today, I'll see in a few days if there is further improvement.

It sometimes appears like there hasnt been a new algo update but just a heavier cleansing and taking into account only existing live links.

As far as I can see, it was just an adjustment of the panda algo. Problem is, that the quality score of most the pages is in the tank. This is what John Mueller in the Hangouts also confirmed.
Point beeing you can find different workarounds for the problem. Change your internal linking, delete thin pages, decrease your kw density, add schema markup, get rid of spammy links, add content, increase social shares and mentions, remove ads, redo the page layout, reduce bounce rate.
Do all of these. Panda has a kind of threshold how it differs high quality and low quality sites, once you reached this tipping point, your rankings skyrocket. But, I don't know where the tipping point for your site is and honestly speaking nobody does.
So true in regards to kw density. Reducing keyword density seems to work for me. It appears that the update was purely designed to shake things up. I have never intentionally engaged in keyword stuffing or anything like that. And my pages that were affected by this update are good quality. Apparently google now thinks that there are too many targeted keywords in my posts even though they are just were they supposed to be. Stupid bastards! But like you said, what needs to be done, it'll depend on individual website and there is no universal solution. So test, test and test more. Personally, I'd leave the links alone for now.

I have bad situation with affiliate site where some posts droped to not in top 500 or positions like 130-220, while other posts remain ok. From about 80 total posts 10-12 lost ranking, and they were stable from page 2 to page 4 for 5-6 months. I rank on bing page 1 all keywords but these few posts on google are now nowhere. I didnt build links to those inner posts or used exact match keywords, but posts droped for the main keywords which are higher search volume while some small relevant keywords remain and still rank. Example: ‘’best laptop for students’’ 2500 searches drop from 30 to 150, and ‘’best laptop students’’ 50 searches per month still rank. Most of these inner posts lost ranking on february 27 some on march 5-11. I followed competition and built articles similar way they do if not even better and as far i can see nobody from competition lost ranking. H1 include main keyword and url, and maybe 1-3 times keyword variations in content or not at all. Some posts have image and keyword in it, some not. I dont know is this penguin since i didnt built any links other than brand, naked url mostly from guest posts, relevant nofollow comments and few relevant forums to homepage not much or none to inner pages that droped, so what could be the reason and does anyone have advice how to recover? I changed H1 on some posts and gone through text to fix keywords but this not help. I thought to delete these pages that drop, wait some time so they gone from google and then post again on new url with improved content what you think would this be good thing to do because posts are aged. I also think that content is not so bad $5 per 100 words from native writer, each post is 1000+ words enough obl to relevant sites.. really no idea what to try when cant find good proof why lost ranking while some other pages remain completely fine.. here are 2 image of 2 posts that drop so you can see.. So I logged in to the Search console of one of my blogs that was affected by the update and I was shocked to see that there is no data for my backlinks. The site in question was not recently added to GWT, its been there for long and my backlinks were showing before the update. Could this be an indicator that the update was link related?

No, it's an indicator that your linkprofile is crap. The same discussion was on MOZ, where some girl complained that her DA took a huge drop. No, shit when large proportions of it, went out of index. So yep, most likely you got hurt as too many Fred afflicted site are pointing to your site. All penalties transfer.
No, you didn't but most likely used a part of your phrase with a density over 4% like the last 5 people, who PM'ed me.

Stop panicking, WMT don't show my website backings too (I didn't built any, they all natural), Google seems to be filtering spam links.

Isn't supposed to be something like a drop in search? why it's not the case especially if 50% of the content of my site is dup? It's very weird, if someone can give his suggestion, I'll be grateful.

Because you went under the radar, most people got hit for keyword density or top heaviness. The point beeing is, when G-Bot checks for above the fold content, it regards everything with a link an ad and the rest is content. Problem is people didn't get that. Yeah, no ads but 10 pictures with links and that's the only above the fold content.

No, i lost my backlinks data too but the site is ranking well. Google clowns messed something up probably
after updating content, did you submit url or fetch via search console?
I already reduce keyword, but still can't see my article recovering in SERP

Yep, I fetched it after I was done. I guess it works a little bit faster but is not the point.
As I said earlier, you have to increase the overall quality of your site. Once you reached the panda threshold, the demoter is lifted.
- Check for dupes
- Decrease Keyword density
- Look for internal linking overoptimization, for example your 404 page. Is it directed with keywords to the pages that droped. Somewhere in the sidebar ?
- Noindex thin content pages. Do it this way, check by ranking checker which pages got hit the hardest. Improve them, by images, more content, contextual non keyword internal linking to other pages, youtube embeds and authority outlinks or noindex them. This is a deadweigt on your entire site
