Hi All I have read all I can on the subject of hosting here and in endless e-books and find myself like many others I suspect totally stymied by information overload. Can someone just recommend the best hosting in their opinion. I am a Newb but getting there after months ok ok years of reading rereading ebook after ebook and trawling through ground breaking offer after groundbreaking offer I am finally taking the advice all the good people give ie. DO SOMETHING. Am finally making the plunge after a few false starts and need hosting that:
1.Leaves space for expansion so decent bandwidth
2.Has helpful and ideally patient technical support
3.Has C-Panel and Fantastico
4.Possibly web-site creation software (Am dubious about this as I want to look as professional as poss and want a nice unique site)
All the stuff i have learnt seems to state that i need paid hosting as I want to appear as businesslike as I can. But I am learning and this is why I am asking on a forum. I have not started a thread on BHW before and if I have asked anything too stupid I apologize now in advance. Just bear with me as much as you can and any responses, help, tips on hosting or any other topics would be great please PM me if anything is off topic for this thread.
All I want really is not to spend the rest of my life in yet another minimum wage soul rotting job.....lol am sure a few of ya can relate to that.

Right thanks guys. Is there a real cheapie option or is it just better to pay and have done with it? also do I need a .com or will a cheapie .info do to start with. Times are hard etc etc BUT would rather spend the cash and pay for quality services its just I do not have the cash to make mistakes I am planning to do this well or not at all. No more half-assed botched attempts at anything am gonig to do thia and know I have tried my hardest and done my best. Surely I can make some money. Jeez there are some right idiots out there who seem (if you can believe their spiels?) to be making $10,000 plus a week. I will settle for a few hundred a week lol anything would do just no more pitiful affliate checks that are hardly worth cashing.

Host Gator is the best for multiple sites and if perfomance isn't a big issue. Rochenhost is the best for perforomance of larger Wordpress and joomla sites..

I saw on hostgator that for every domain you have you can send 500 emails hourly.
So if I bough just say 5 info domains from godaddy and transfer to hostgator i can send 2500 emails a hour?

Yeah thanks all point taken as I suspected better to spend a poxy $6 which is what only 4 quid in real money. Cheaper than a pack of smokes I will cut down on those bad boys and get some websites up instead.

Don't go for dreamhost though they aren't really expensive, they do charge more than other better (imo) companies. Go with hostgator, I would normally recommend the one I personally use but they recently added this lame 50,000 file count limit.

Plus dreamhost is so deceptive, their front page says $5.95 per month depending on payment plan so I assumed that's with a 2 year prepayment but it's actually a 10-year prepayment. I mean come on, 10 years? Wtf?

what mistakes i need to make to get banned with hostgator?Someone have a list?No blackhat, spamming etc...Thanks for the attention.

i always preferr hostgator for my good and legal sites becoz its simply best ..

if you want BEST, get yourself your own dedicated from volumedrive.com, until you have experienced a real dedicated server with your sites on it you have no idea how fucking slow generic shared hosts are

what about justhost ?

they are really cheap

1.99$/month

Anytime Money Back Guarantee

had anyone use justhost now ?

hostgator baby hosting. 6 bucks a month, cpanel, 1-click fantastico wordpress installs, unlimited domains, + a bunch of professional ( i guess?) web templates for free.

I have a Baby account on HostGator but I'm paying 9 a month... what am I missing?

@trophaeum: i read volume drive policy and they don't allow mass mailing. Any other place you suggest.

Dudeb isn't $1.99 a month kinda too cheap. I will look into it but... Basicaly what I have decided is to get something free if they provide everything I want (I know doubtful) just to get this site up and to see if I can get it half way decent otherwise I am gonna go back to filling shelves for a few weeks and pay someone to do it for me. I just am not going to have some half assed crappy website I do not want to spend all my time driving traffic to something that looks terrible.

try flexihostings, ive been with them for over 5 years.

they have server all over the world.

justhost is not $1.99 it's $3.95/month if you signup for like 36 months!! otherwise it's $7.95/month..
