Hi,

probably something about myself should be written down.

I am 30+x years old and currently live with my parents. Not your regular internet troll though. I have some serious mental problems which make it hard for me to get a real job. Tried some, lost some. I make some money as a content writer, but it is not enough to support the family I would like to have or even pay the rent, feed me etc. Am I ashamed? Yes. Very. But so far I could not change it, so here I am! Nice to meet you all.

Maybe I am not completely dumb though, and I am willing to put a lot of work into IM. Probably it is either success or suicide this time. So primal instincts will support my struggle for digital money.

Not looking for kind words, just telling where I see myself right now.

On the bright side, there is a lot of very good information in this dark forum. I even smiled a little reading about some of these brilliant ideas. t0mmy is the man. This feels like home. Maybe it is. We will see.

The two things I am working on right now are a Facebook fanpage (create all the content myself) and a niche site for a product which has a search volume of about 2,000 per month. Should I aim higher? Any thoughts welcome!

But now ... let's put some headphones on and get to work!

Quite right too, you have two options. Either complain and make excuses or do what you are doing and look for a solution to your problems.

Congrats for taking your first steps, I have a feeling you will fit in well here. Enjoy your stay, we are (mostly) a friendly bunch.

Thanks for your interest. It is not an english page, and has not reached 100 likes yet. So probably it will be useless for you (no offense, just my honest opinion). I plan to spend some money on FB ads as soon as I can afford it. Have a nice day!

If anyone knows a good thread how to reach low costs per like in FB ads, please let me know.

That's alright. Do you think you could make/get hands on an english page with a lot of likes? That way we could make money guaranteed!

As of facebook page, I think it will take years to reach a significant number,don't you think so?
And also, I would advice you to target another keyword/product too,something that has somewhere 20k and more searches. Everything else is too small I think
and FB ads costs A LOT, I have used it. I would reccomend adsense through,always had better leads and a better CPC

Also, if you can drive traffic,I think CPA or PPI would be extremely good.

Well, it is possible, but I am just finding about how to do it. I think all the big pages charge some money if you are not lucky and stumble upon a nice page owner who likes newbies, lol. Facebook seems to cap my reach, which I hope will stop after a certain number of likes. They also seem to be very good at tracking fake users. I will start working on an english page soon though, after it has grown big enough I can come back to you. But I have no idea yet how long it will take. So if you want fast results you probably need a more experienced partner.
 
Oh,and I remember a thread in marketplace,where the seller would got you 1 cent or something like that likes for 150$. I don't remember all the details,that thread may not even exist anymore,but check the marketplace section for sure

I heard of people who have reached ~40k likes in a year or so. But not sure how much money they spent.

Thanks! At the moment I am happy to make money at all. Want to get into the mechanics without getting knocked out by big competitors immediately. I will definitively try bigger keywords in the near future (read: after finishing the page I am currently creating).

Yes, I noticed FB adds are quite expensive. Not sure if Adsense is much cheaper though. My current page uses Amazon affiliate (you have to start somewhere).
