After X number of days/months/years automatically move threads into a separate read-only archive so users can still access the content, but so people stop necro bumping 8 year old threads.

Thoughts?

Mods? Admins? Nobody thinking this is a good idea? I continually rage every day when I click on a link from the HOME page and it's to a post from '07-'12

We're looking at different ways of doing this - e.g. possibly closing threads automatically when they've been inactive for a period of time. But yes, it's a useful suggestion and I'll put it forward for consideration as it's something we want to deal with in the near future.
