Poll: SSD VPS or HD VPS

I am taking a poll here, I am curious to see what you guys would prefer (Might be a stupid question). But I am looking to expand my VPS to SSD, and I was interested to see what interests you?

it's all depends on the price, unless high R/W demand, SSD won't benefit an average users.
anyway, SSDs are getting cheaper and cheaper, so why not, especially if the price will be right.

Yes it is! Cloud computing is very costly at that though. But the market is def maturing.

everyone is saying "definitely SSD", but frequently people are getting caught up in the "fancy" latest tech and wasting money just to be trendy without even using 50% of the upgrade. I'm not saying SSD is bad, I'm just saying if you can save money and you don't realy get much out of SSD, why waste your hard-earned money.

^^ yea it's true, if you don't need it and you are trying to save money then of course.

But SSD does perform much better than standard drive so it can make a big difference.

I completely agree. We moved all our clients to SSD as the shared hosting standard. We noticed about a 2 to 3 second difference in site load time.

2-3 seconds? Are you kidding? If your web server is tuned properly, it serves pages directly from RAM cache. You can not detect the difference SSD or HDD.

We serve pages directly from RAM cache and we still noticed that big of a jump. I might be a little biased to say that we did also upgrade CPU and Ram haha

SSD are best but it will increase the cost as well. If you need high performance then you can go for SSD
