Possibly... I prefer domains that seem personal/non commercial. Only way to find out is to test...

thanks to you meathead i got a sale doing this method and i'm very satisfied with the results. after posting on forums for days i got a sale. it's not that much but atleast the method worked. i have some funds and i need to automate this project. do you have any idea or suggestions what forum poster to use? or hire a VA to do this but still stuck on where to start. thanks for any input.

Thank you for this. I was motivated enough to find a niche (through a facebook video of a product someone shared that has a couple million views) and bought a domain and hosting from godaddy. created a FB page and made a logo. Already have a theme in wordpress and currently finishing the first article... my questions are...
1) would it be ok or not to use other blogs articles or forum comments and paraphrase them with spinbot or something similar? im not quite satisfied with spinbot so i used it to give it a different feel but still had to go in and correct a lot.
2) also, would it be ok to have a blog with 5-8 articles and promote that instead of writting/publishing articles daily?

So what are rules/guidelines about making a fake blogging persona for social media? Are there legal aspects of this I need to protect myself against if I make up a fictitious person?

Is it okay to have keyword density 0.5%? I've written articles, and when I checked the keyword density, it's not more than 0.5% in all of them. Will this affect sales? I know that nobody can tell exactly, but what do you think. You might have the same issue in your experience or something...

I'd keep it between 1-2% nowadays but honestly, I've stopped thinking about it too much. Rather keep it low and then test it (add more keywords while measuring ranks and see the impact) later on. If ranks change for the worse, switch back.

Wondering about this too... But book authors can publish books under different names, so I guess we can too.
No need to post daily, most people build up with some articles, add them weekly for a while and then touch the website a few times monthly.

So I don't know if this is a dumb question to ask but, is it possible to do well with an existing site I already have? It's called laugh and inspire in the domain name and I usually post just inspirational quotes and or funny content. Could I still use that domain with that name to do well with the amazon affiliate program? Some people say the site name is important. But i'm already spending money to host the site.

The question is can you find products above the $100- trhat you can promote with quotes and joke traffic?

The most important thing with Amazon sites is that people that are brought there from Google are usually in a buying mood (from searching for a particular product/product review). If your site doesn't focus on products then it's going to be hard.
One thing that might work well in your niche is motivational or self help books which you could review.

Yeah, self-help books would have low margins. To find what product you should probably sell on amazon I would start here:

That is the Amazon best sellers page, where you can drill down to any department or department within a department etc... to find which amazon products are selling the most in a given category.
You can then do something like get 30 days of semRush on fiverr and figure out keywords and what your competition looks like.
In regards to the quote, joke site, maybe you can use that if you find the right product, if not you can still use that site to get targeted traffic and then funnel that site to your Amazon money site.
Unless you think you can push high volume by selling 100-200 books per day I'd stay away from $20 price point. $100+ is a general minimum people usually target as affiliates when starting out.
Also curious to see what people know about another question:
what are rules/guidelines about making a fake blogging persona for social media? Are there legal aspects of this I need to protect myself against if I make up a fictitious person?

It is FAR easier to sell lower priced items, so if you sell a few books per month - on top of your $100+ items - this can help push up your commission percentage to 6-7%.

Just a quick question really before I decide to start buying domains. For example (This isn't my niche and I don't advise using it) if I were to use Microwave as my niche, is that too broad or too targeted?
Like do you suggest going for "kitchen appliances" in general or do you suggest choosing on item from that area? In the OP it said that you'd be wise to not choose something like a microniche but I'm unfamiliar of what makes a niche a microniche.
So long story short: Do you go for one in particular item from an area, i.e. microwaves or do you target the whole zone, like kitchen appliances?
What classifies as electronics? I know it says Office Products but does a keyboard/mouse classify as being an "electronic"?
Also, what if you have any in particular interest in anything (Not like a niche, for example), should I just find something and run with it?

There seems to be a bit of a ridiculous competitor like "trustedreviews" and other review sites that literally review EVERYTHING. What do you advise to get away from those?
