[Method] Make $1000 a Month With Amazon - Newbie Friendly [Phase 5a Published!]

Facebook Ads with Amazon affiliates is tricky. Paid traffic is all about measuring performance but Amazon's analytics suck.

So we can measure the cost of clicks from Facebook to our site and then measure how many people click to Amazon. Then we can look at the sales the next day and see some kind of conclusions, but you will never know whether the actual click that got the sale came from Facebook Ads or organic traffic. Part of the data gets lost between your site and Amazon. It really sucks - there's a lot of potential in it, but it's not worth doing based on "guesses" of profitability.
 
I did try Facebook Ads, got the clicks but no conversion. Newbie to FB Ads but cost me £20 over 4 days... lot of reach but not many clicks and 0 conversions.

Couldn't you make two different points of entry (e.g. two landing pages, using one url for FB and one for organic), one for FB ads and the other for organic traffic? What about tracking ip addresses?

You won't be able to track anything by IP because Amazon won't tell you what IP got a sale.

You can make two different landing pages, yes. But how many of us sell Amazon products through landing pages? It's always blog posts.

You can duplicate the blog post but that's has two problems:
1) Duplicate content for SEO
2) If they come from Facebook Ads, read that article (that you duplicated and are tracking with new amazon IDs) and then decide to click on another article and buy another product instead - you can't measure it.

So of course, you can measure it a little bit and kind of figure out if it's profitable or not, but it's not going to be accurate at all.
 
Reading this, dying to believe these values are possible and not photoshopped but its the Internet. Perhaps I am a little too old for the era of internet, just find it hard to believe even 25$ a day is even possible.

With that said, I am trying incredibly hard to make this work as I would like to, in time, come back to this thread... quote this message and encourage others that may be thinking the same as me right now.

If, I could somehow see true verification (I guess, my own really) then I would be amazed. Working for this cooperate companies is starting to drive me somewhat insane, and running my own business is something I need to be able to do within the space of this year.

Willing to do whatever it takes, and if someone could assist me on the way then I would more than assist in terms of providing my time as a means of thanks for your 1-to-1 assistance and hopefully make a life long friend.

Very hard to stay encouraged when the internet is a minefield, particularly when Goolging topics such as these.... even this forum is a minefield in terms of shifting out the rubbish from the quality.

Hi BMWM3, let me just give you my quick opinion in hope you will think a little about it.

You will most likely not be able to retire your 9-5 job after only one year in this. This is as hard as starting real "offline" business. But big benefit is that what you have to invest in the start is much lower than in offline.

It is great you are willing to do whatever it takes. But, if you don't pace yourself you will burn up and probably give up before you see/feel anything positive improvements in your online business. You think your work is insane, wait till you dig into this a little bit deeper :)

Don't worry about immediately returning favors to the persons willing to devote some of their time to answer your questions here. First, you succeed and that give something back to the community, as it will be given to you IF YOU TAKE POSITIVE ACTION. No one will hand hold you here, or anywhere else for that matter.

It is highly unlikely you will befriend a random internet marketing person here. You could meet a potential business partner though, WHEN you learn how to make some money at first place.

You can bet all of this is a minefield. Thread carefully, think before you make moves or invest money. Make sure it meets the criteria of common sense. No quick money anywhere for us noobs. :)

These are just my opinions. I hope you will eventually succeed. This is something one usually does on the side, along with regular job.

So what's the catch?

There are thousands of members on this forum who are in a big conspiracy to mess around with old folks by photoshopping pictures?

We're all normal people like you, trying to live our life to the fullest. Photoshopping is probably the last concern on anyone's mind here - we're here to discuss, help each other reach the highest potential and make some money :)

There's thousands of success stories on this forum, have a look at them, pick out the nuggets of value and leave your skepticism at the door. Or continue with the wonderful 9-5 life - the choice is yours to e honest.

What's hard to believe really? You could see the product that you promote sell really well or not by seeing the customer reviews, you can't be that skeptic to think all those reviews on amazon are all fake right?

There's people out there buying things online. You could also found people asking for opinion about particular product on forum. You simply provide a helpful answer and link them to your in-depth review. If he bought it, you'll get commission.

The only cost for doing this method is just hosting and domain really, that is if you write the content by yourself.

Which step that you don't understand? Just do it 1st and post it in here, there are many others willing to help you if you already take ACTION.
 
Why pillar article should has 2000-5000 words? I wrote mine and after 1300 words I exhausted a topic. Should I add more text or 1300 words is also good? Thanks for reply!

When you put it like that, sounds true. I know it is but I find it hard to believe still until I see it for myself.

I already have a site with articles and have been getting traffic but no sales, yet. I'm hoping to keep pushing and, like I said hope to quote these posts in the not too distant future and show my sucess.

1300 words is not a lot. I tend to write review articles with about that amount. Pillars need to be larger, think "buying guide". You can come up with a ton of words that way and you'll hit a lot of long tails that you never even thought about.

Ok, thanks for that. I'm web designer so for me less is more and I know that a lot of people don't really read website, just see it for a few seconds and leave. But maybe in this case it works differently.

Just from my experience and those of friends, i'll quickly bounce from a site if there isn't enough information to help me make an informed purchase decision.

I'd try for a little bit longer. The better you can write about it, the more people will trust you - they'll see that you're an expert on the topic and they'll be more likely to take your recommendations seriously. This translates into more affiliate commission as well :)

Wait until you can send me a PM then, haha :)
 
Hey @meathead1234 I believe that it might be time you came up with B of this guide. Lots of guys took your advice, started sites and they are now stuck with little or no traffic.
The next phase might give them a little bump before they give up on IM.

That nice, keep doing it. If your traffic is targeted like from forum, it should convert soon.

If you still need proof, maybe browse flippa and search for amazon affiliate site. Filter site that just sold recently. There's many successful amazon affiliate site out there.
