Growing Up [Journey]

That's very interesting, sounds like you have a great plan in place, now just make it work.

Good luck with your Journey Buddy! You seem to have a well thought out plan :) Your pet looks lovely. I am trying to build my own semi-authority/ authority review website as well(Tech Niche). If one thing that you have to learn from your freelance experience is never put all your eggs in one basket.
Don't take me wrong, seeing that you started SEO couple of years back and you were already able to rank your clients, you should have made a few websites on your own for passive income. Well, its never late... I will be following your journey, my best wishes for your success :)

Thanks man and yes I was thinking of making few amazon affiliate sites since they are pretty easy to make, if you make a proper keyword research and also something with IG, I earned some good pocket money not really giving it my all with it. Don't worry all advice is good willed here :D

Nice plan and good read. good luck with your journey.

Thank you :D

UPDATE 13.03.2016

Wrote the journey(HE-HE) and installed wordpress on the site, made social profiles. Installed few plugins and made contact us page. Also found out a really good option for opening a business here thanks to Aatrox.

-bought domain on namecheap like I mentioned before
-used thcservers as a hosting, they seem ok I used them before for two sites and had no problem, they also have a neat option to get an unique ip for your site and it's cheap that is why I'm using them now
-Transferred the DNS and installed Wordpress with the Schema theme
-Made contact us pages, removed some of the useless widgets from sidebar
-Installed plugins: Jetpack, Wordfence, Contact Form 7, W3 Total Cache and I will see if I will put some other but I will write them down
-Facebook page, twitter profile, pinterest profile, tumblr blog and g+ page have been made but not fully
-Friend started on logo making and I will wait for him to finish that one in a day or two. While he is creating that one I will fill in the site with content.

What I have to do tomorrow:

-Finish designing the site
-Write a homepage article that will be used as a static page
-Finish the social profiles and write some posts and start begging my friends to like them/follow them :D
-Make a proper keyword research
-WALK SHIVA!

MY OWN PERSONAL MOTIVATION:

In the past I was a lazy mofo and I would mostly spend time playing video games. I wasn't really cleaning the room, house etc. and I'm ashamed of myself for not doing that. I always thought "meh I will do it tomorrow, tomorrow and tomorrow". While it piled up and I did clean everything but I'm it wasn't pretty XD. I'm 23 years old now and I started motivating myself like this, well actually one MANGA (Japanese comic) made me realize something really simple.

It's pretty simple, why? Because we are humans we can get used to things pretty fast, we can adapt to climates etc. So how did this actually helped me with a lot of stuff? Not just with some cleaning, but keeping myself organized and training and everything else. It helped me because those small things are something that I like to call "Breathers" They take me away from stress, computer, job and shitty emotions.

These simple breathers can help you be fresh, happy and motivated. Because you cannot and you should not work all day and be at your computer all day(Yea I sound like a parent XD). But it's the truth, I found out that I would rather wake up at 6 AM then go to bed at 3 PM. I function better the rest of the day and I train at7AM with few of my pals. That is a big breather.

I release all of the negative energy into trying to be better than I was a week before and when I see small results I'm happy as fuck. When I come home I get greeted by my happy doggeh and we go out on a walk and have fun. When I come home I'm tired and sometimes I will sleep for an hour or two and then get back to work. Sometimes I won't but if I feel I cannot watch the computer anymore I go clean my desk, house, wash the dishes, do something to get breather. Ok, I'm writing a lot of shit. How to do that? Be repetitive. Repeat everything you do, force yourself to do it every day . For example: I wash the dishes right when I make them dirty. Why? I'm trying to carve this into my brain, that it becomes a habit, a good one. Do you see where I'm going with this?

This is how you make good habits and you will do it without a hassle and you will never regret it. It's the same with washing your teeth, it's a habit because you were "forced" to do that before you go to bed and when you wake up. But it's a good habit right? You have nice healthy white teeth XD, well not all of us but you get the point damn it!

The point of this is, force yourself to do things that will become good habits. Training, walking, cleaning, going out, paint, have sex!(ok this one requires two for that :D) etc.

They will be your "breathers" and will help you in the long run.

Here is another simple motivation, I have to stop drinking this damn good Coca Cola XD

Tell me if you would like me to write these kind of posts: Business wise and Motivational wise.

Also I have two or three guides for you. Should I write them here or each as a separate thread?

Manga is called Dragon Zakura btw I forgot to write that XD

Good night, for some good day!

UPDATE 14.03.2016

Didn't do a lot today because I had a freakishly painful headache, I have migraines when weather takes a 180 flip XD. My whole day is fucked up then I need to sleep and it will pass but hey who can sleep for a whole day? Ok, well I customized the site and got an idea:

I will make Q&A page where visitors can ask questions, actually send them to my email but to unlock the form they will have to share it either to facebook, twitter or g+ , I know it can be a D*** move but it will help me get those juicy signals and I will answer the questions for visitors for free, so it's kinda like win-win situation :D.

Also I found some nice juicy keywords with 1000+ searches a month. And I thought of a way to monetize them. For example one is something something local place. So I go to the sites of some owners of that business in that place and call them, send them an email or whatever, contact them aaaaaannnd offer them to send my visitors to their place. How? Well a simple review article about that business. What do you guys think? Would that be ok or should I change the approach?

I managed my 5 old IG accs that where in dog niche and all have 1.5k+ followers which is good and I added my site in the bio. Some will probably get banned. But I will only use one in FL for botting to see how it works out. My main IG will be maintained by myself and maybe FL later.

Also one of the writers from Upwork sent me a 1000 words review article with a template I gave him and I must say it's pretty good actually. I will see how well will another writer make another article and then decide.

More plugins were installed: PrettyLinks , SeoByYoast & Social Locker

I forgot to write some goals so I will update them in my main post and my budget for this.

PERSONAL MOTIVATION

Almost freaking made my first clean muscle up. That motherF**** is hard to do XD. But one more week and I will make and probably cry like a baby from happiness hahaha.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here. Also would you like me to write those three guides I mentioned here or separate Threads?

PIS!

I'm a former Coca Cola Addict and that stuff is extremely addictive. I used to drink a 6 pack of 20oz bottles every day. I stopped when I went to the dentist and found out it was destroying my teeth. Now I only have one every once in a while.

Same thing with Mountain Dew.

I found out that my addiction was more of a caffeine addiction, so I substituted the pop for iced tea with lemon and stevia. Now I drink about 32 ounces of iced tea a day. It's a way healthier alternative than what I was consuming.

Just something that might help you out.

As for you writing reviews of businesses, here's what I would do:

Go visit that business as a customer first. You do not want to recommend a business that has shitty service. After you finish with your visit, call them up and tell them you liked them a lot and you were wondering if they were interested in having a review posted on your blog.

They'd be morons to say no but there are a lot of morons out there.

That will add to the authority of your website.

I do the same thing with my blog. I run a blog in the food niche and I have to eat something first before I recommend it. I'm not just going to write a general review about it. People like to read about personal experiences. That drives more traffic than something that's just a run-of-the-mill "please go here for best dog grooming" kind of thing.

Take pictures of the facility, the staff, them working with dogs - the whole nine yards. Showcase your personality in the post. That will help add to the authenticity and make you more trustworthy in the eyes of potential consumers. On top of that, business owners will love that you go out of your way to be so thorough. Once they see that, they'll be quite happy with their purchase, and you can use that to get even more customers.

Great to have goals, good luck brother.

Thanks I will post those goals today and I know I can achieve them :D

Hmmm that was a good read!! GOod luck OP!

Thank you very mucho!

yah OP is genius ,, goodluck buddy and keep us updated

I will be a genius if I get a sale within one week hahaha, but thanks :D

I have no idea how much is an ounce in liters hahahaha, I was also thinking that! I will drink iced green tea and I managed to stop drinking Cola for two days now YAY! Mountain is not really good for me, the taste is just meh.

Thank you really much for the advice but the problem is I'm from Croatia and I cannot really travel to USA to try out the service I will have to filter out good business based on the online reviews and then contact them. But I'm really happy that you helped me with two things :D

UPDATE 15.03.2016

I have set up some goals for the first month. I also managed to write 1500 words for the homepage article but I want more so I will write more tomorrow. I realised I have some problems with structuring the article. Would love to write about everything but then I see my structure is really bad, I will have to fix this with some reading and writing a lot.

My friend me the first mock-up of the logo and I was really satisfied, we agreed on a little bit of a revision so that one will be done in a day or two and it will be awesome, maybe you will realise what is my site when I put it on social media and promote those profiles :P

Rankings will be posted when I find all keywords I will wish to rank.

Since I cannot edit my first initial post(or I'm just stupid and I don't see edit post anymore) I will write my budget and goals here.

My Budget 200$ cause I'm broke right now hahahahaha. I need to have some pocket money to buy my dog some food, I can hold out without going out and spending my money for stuff I don't REALLY need. So all in all I have around 460$ in my account and 260$ will be left for me and my dog, I think it will be enough for two months for her food and my gym subscription. If not I will train out on the street like REAL MAN DO! HO-HA! but yeah, you get the point so.

BUDGET: 200$
GOALS (first month):
-Get at least ONE or 1 sale at the end of the month. The product at CB is a recurring one so it will be really good if I make a sale with that one
-Write or buy at least 20k words in content, articles, reviews etc. Most of the guides will be written by me, but the reviews...I will see if I will buy them or not, cause I suck at those
-Make at least one picture per article, I have a Nikon D3200 and I love it, pictures will be used for tutorials.
-Make some youtube videos on : How to teach a dog to sit etc. examples
-Grow my new instagram account, because of the new logo I have a really good idea on how to do it, only... my dog will have to agree with that hahaha
-Get at least 1k organic followers on each of social profiles. I think that will be achievable for the first month

STATS:
-Visitors: 3!
-Sales: 0 QQ
-Facebook: 4 Likes
-Instagram: 0 Followers (Didn't start this one)
-Pinterest: 0 Followers
-Twitter: 1 Follower
-Words: 3.5k words now written but not submitted yet

Also before this journey I bought BuildMyTraffic service for pbn posts, I'm not sure if I will use it on this site but I think it will be a good service for churn and burn. What do you guys think? Did you try it out maybe? I guess I will have to make my own pbn of 10 domains first. But the problem is budget, my friend has Domain Hunter Gatherer and he will let me use it. I know how to use it but it will take some time to find good domains. Especially in this niche.

PERSONAL STUFF:

Two days passed since I sipped stupid Cola :D, only drank water and I feel good. Weather is shitty and I want the sun to come out really soon. Today was my last time working FOR someone, bastard paid me 3 times lower then we agreed upon. But oh well it was my mistake. But I have to admit I fell less stressed out and I have more time for myself and my Girlfriend. The problem now is I don't have a recurring income. So this journey will be: do or die :D

PISS OUT PEOPLE and have a good day/night

Ah, I thought you were doing reviews for businesses that were local to your area. My mistake.

32oz is about 4 glasses. I also drink 6-8 glasses of water a day.

Btw, you can do a lot with $200 if you know what you're doing.

If you want to build your own PBN there are a couple of really good tutorials on the forum. I'm sure t0mmy wrote one. I'll have to go dig it up.

Ouh, I was drinking 2-3 glasses per day, DAUMN! Yea, if I reviewed my local ones, there are only two hahaha.

I also think I can do a lot, but I don't want to spend my budget like an idiot. So it will be either a good pbn and write my own articles, which will take some time, or buy some articles and try to get guest posts as much as I can.

If you find it awesome, I already know a lot of stuff for finding them, but heck they are hard to find. Will take some time to get good ones. But I think time will be a problem for me since I have to rank this site in max two-three months and get some sales before. Thank You for the help :D

UPDATE 16.03.2016

WELL TODAY WAS A FUCKED UP DAY! A guy I worked for yesterday payed me 470$ Which would be my only money I have for the next two months and this seo journey I did everything he asked me and spent a month without properly sleeping, this is a reason why I want to work alone. He just made a calim on paypal and issued a dispute to return him the money because I said I won't be working with him anymore, BUT I FINISHED THE WORK AS PROMISED!

I don't know what to do now cause paypal is mostly returning money to customers and it's hard to win disputes. My budget is now -66$ HAHAHAHAHA motherfucker. Can anyone help me in some way? I really didn't fuck the guy up, I did everything he asked and provided even more than he asked. Because right now I'm kindda angry and depressed at the same time. If anyone can help me that would be wonderful XD

This is a good learning experience. Never EVERY burn bridges, you never know when someone might try and screw you over or you might need them.

Why on Earth would you tell the client that after he sent you the money? Why not just in the future tell him you've got a lot on your plate and refer them to someone else or something?

Well we found a replacement for me, my friend is working with him and he was happy :/ I thought he wouldn't do this. I also told him before that I will finish this and I probably won't work with him anymore and we found him a replacement I didn't JUST quit and left him :/. But yea FUCKING LESSON LEARNED

Dude, as a business owner you do not tell a client that "Oh BTW when we're done, we're DONE".

Seriously, that is a great lesson for you to learn. The customer is ALWAYS right, even when they're wrong make them feel like they're right. Customer service 101.

Well this was some freelancing work but yea I know man I know, but still this was such a dick move.

Good luck on your journey. Growing up is a lifelong process from my experience. I hope to someday feel like an adult. In the meantime I just work hard and pursue my goals. I'm confident if you apply yourself to the plan above you can achieve great results.

The biggest challenge it seems for so many with these journeys and journals is that people hit brick walls and simply give up. I hope you will continue to push through the barriers to your success. You have great life experience already, and tons more to come so just be persistent and see those obstacles as measures of your success. The hill is high and hard to climb with boulders and other obstacles. Yet each challenge overcome moves one forward and towards the endline, so just GO ...
