[Advanced Guide] How I make Amazon Affiliate Sites

Not open for further replies.
So many good guides this week, almost an information overload! But I love it. Thanks man.

Thanks for share lightningblitz !

On my amazon journey, they blocked me twice , first one was thin content(even I opened my first thread on bhw about that) , but I don't remember about second one:) , on my third attempt , I got approved my account , I think , you can use the ThirstyAffiliates plugin or another cloaking plugin( until now, I didn't get any penalty for using cloaking), it's easier to change the links from the plugin page rather than going each page.

Continue like this and there will not be any money left for us to make my friend. Joke obv. Amazing guide. :)

Great stuff man! I plan to start an Amazon website soon as well :) I bookmarked it and put it into my "Pocket" app.

Nice guide lightningblitz, much appreciated.

I am really looking forward to dive into this in the near future, so I hope you don't mind if I get back here with a couple questions.

Wow thanks for the information OP!
Just had a few questions:
So you rank a long tail keyword by having multiple 2.0's link back to your money site with anchor text around that specific keyword? So lets say you build around 5 2.0's for each long tail you want to target?
Are you using multiple web 2.0's? Or do you sometimes use wordpress lets say 3 times?
Any tips on building web 2.0's? I build my web 2.0s but i try to build around 3 web 2.0 per proxy. Not sure if that makes much of a difference or not. Also do you change emails or using the same emails?
Then for the PBN links do you use your own pbn or do you buy them from someone? If so anyone you recommend?

Just one thing that i always encounter is that it can be such a hassle building web 2.0s for each website i have. Any software out there that you recommend?
Thanks for your help.

I mentioned a plug in no one else did, expounded upon getting banned from Amazon (And how to avoid it), more expansive SEO section and I included details not yet covered.

I made sure to not repeat information that could be found elsewhere and include the few things I do differently.

If you are missing something I will let you know how I do it. I wrote this in a way to not repeat what I have read.

Sure, most things have been said before (As this is not a new way to make money) but I know I mentioned things I never read before.

I will have to work on an ecommerce site them. I have sold my own products a few times and made good money. I will need to pick into that area and see if it intrigues me. Thank you for the suggestion.

@ Everyone else: Thank you for the kind words. I ran out of thanks.

Well I don't want to seem like a forum guy.. but as I've some free time in hands atm, without dekstop at hands, I will answer you to prove you're wrong.
This thread has mentioned,
a. WAY better (and I mean x2000 times better) SEO infos (I say a lot of times better, because it goes into so much details, that I had to take notes.. and it happened twice over 2000 threads I read);
b. mentioned the exact same plugin you mentioned
c. What you mentioned about getting banned from Amazon is insufficient to say the least; the unique way to be sure of not getting banned is reading the ToS of Amazon line after line, and triple checking before launching your site. Just top of my head, I see you have not mentioned you can only use Amazon images trough their API, or you can get banned AND/OR get a letter form a lawyer of the company owning the picture (and product).

if I say something.. I say it because it's true!

Edit: just for the record, when I said nothing new were in this thread, I will include all the sources I were referring to:
Nickflames thread + The one I just linked + ArganRecords's journey

Nice guide. Good to see a bit of real detail when it comes to the actual SEO. A lot of people get vague there.

My best amazon site got a thin content penaly before christmas. They only deindexed the product pages not the whole site.
So i changed the url structure for products and its back ranking and making money again. But for how long i dont know, and next time I know they are going to look a bit deeper. I fear for my PBN sites linking to it :(

I have a direct question though, have you tested using a cart system at all?

On that site i mentioned you go to the product pages and add to cart. The visitor doesnt get redirected to amazon until they checkout. The products are then added to their amazon cart.
I hoped this would avoid having too many links out to amazon on site.

Thing is, I think it lowers the conversion rate. I get a lot of multiple buys but very few random items. Never been able to split test it though.

I like those odd random sales you get from Amazon as it boosts up your monthly referral rate. Changing it though would involve almost remaking every page on the site - rather start again fresh than that!)

Why can't you put links to this guys
1. Jared - JR Exec VIP & Expert Content Seller
2. Ste Fishkin - Lovable Troll and KW Seller
3. Andres - KW Seller and Content Seller

Nice work! There are many Amazon affiliate site guides, but you covered the SEO aspect very well. This is where I always seem to need work. I subscribed and I just got motivated to start another website, Thanks!

Well. Great guide. I have been flirting with Amazon for a few months....A few questions:

1. Why do you suggest creating micro niche sites? Wouldnt it be better to pick a broader niche and target 10 to 20 keywords initially and keep expanding as you rank? And you can piggy back of the authority of the site.

2. There are many keywords that will have only ecommerce sites in the top 10? How do we decide if we want to go for that keyword?

3. Any recommendations to buy PBN links?

4. When I am reviewing best product lists, I tend to add a lot of links. 1st link is in the name of the product. Second link is in the image of the product and third links is at the end of the product review. Considering that I review around 5 products in one article, that seems like a lot of outbound links. Should I do away with this protocol?

5. For the link building strategy, why just limit ourselves to PBN and web 2.0.. Why not keep adding a few links every few days like doc shares, image links, video links, niche blog comments, forum profiles etc etc to give a great diversity as well as giving it a better push.

6. I am getting good hang of the keyword research. I am able to find good amazon keywords with low competition. PLenty of below 20 competition(assessed by keyword revealer). Is it practical for me to consider giving exchanging my keywords for link building services since im short of cash for link building?

awesome coming back to finish reading this when I don't have so much infront of me right now

I dislike cloaking Amazon links personally, but I will need to look into it if it is easier to change out later on.

Ha! I did not give away my website or kws (Despite the PMs asking for it).

Nice guide lightningblitz, much appreciated.

Not at all, feel free to shoot.

A lot of asking questions about Web 2.0s...which I have a thread or two on.

Yes I build up multiple Web 2.0s per long tail.

I want as many different Web 2.0 platforms as possible. I use one IP and One Email for each set of web 2.0. For example, a 'set' may be one blogger, one tumblr, one wordpress, one weebly, one jimbo, etc. One of each different Web 2.0 platform, then I move on.

I personally use VAs as my management system for Web 2.0s and Autofill Magic to make them myself and my VAs have it. It makes account creation easier and for management I put it into an excel file and record it with my regular SEO info.

I use my own networks for my PBN links mostly, especially with Amazon sites due to the fact I dont want to share my good KWs with anyone.

Well I don't want to seem like a forum guy.. but as I've some free time in hands atm, without dekstop at hands, I will answer you to prove you're wrong.

Edit: just for the record, when I said nothing new were in this thread, I will include all the sources I were referring to:
Nickflames thread + The one I just linked + ArganRecords's journey

I never said you were wrong. I said I included information I have not read. I don't know what you are trying to prove, but thank you?

I have a few SEO Guides on BHW (Including a sticky thread) which covers a lot of these points in greater detail. I only included variation on my strategy and assume people will have read other threads and have the basic knowledge I have given away for free.

I have not read two of the three threads you mentioned. I only read the OP of Nick's thread, which is why I mentioned it.

I know some sections are not conclusive. That is because this is my experience, not something I read on a forum. I have only seen my own sites get banned in two ways and I never read a warning about it, so I shared.

It is cool you want to prove me wrong. But about what? This thread is not titled 'the ultimate guide to Amazon sites' but it is 'How I make Amazon Affiliate Sites', and I only cover topics and information I personally experience. This is exactly how I do this, not how I read to do this.

Again, I was not mean or dismissive in my reply to you. I should have not replied to your negativity. No one is trying to prove you wrong. No one is saying you are wrong. I said I included information I have not read. Which is true. So I don;t know why you posted at all, or why reply when I was not negative, I offered to answer any questions you had.

Now, if you can find a source I have read which includes everything I have, I will give you 10,000 USD in cash. No joke. Pinkie promise. As long as it was posted before I posted this on BHW, and I have read it, great.

But to remind you of some things:

1. I revealed my three personal KW guys (One of whom just started selling KWs)
2. I brought up false positives with KW research showing great KWs as bad
3. I explained my exact anchor text and time table for SEO
4. I explained where I place images / tables, what type of content I use, content length
5. I explained how I use filler articles and specific interlinking to help drive traffic and protect a sites longevity.

If you find an Amazon thread covering all of this, prove me wrong about the fact I am stating I provided new information. Since I know as a fact no one is using my SEO Blueprint (The waiting period only applies after June 2015 after the algo update / No one else ever mentioned doing Web 2.0s like I do, this thread expounds on other threads where I share how I target long tail niche KWs not directly related to my site - again something new / The SEO section expounds on things I shared, so if someone re-shared it and you read it, it is still my information) before I posted about it, and no one has stated they use the three KW providers I do (Since that is giving away the keys to a brand new car, especially when two of the three have limited inventory), I am 100% confident you can't find any thread or threads with all the information I provided.

If you read the forum recently you should know I have shared a lot. Everything I share is exactly how I do things. Not what I read. This is exactly how I make money. Not how someone else claims you can make money. This is not a WSO where you are promised 1,000 a day for no work. This is exactly how I make money.

This is why people do not share on BHW any more. This is why I stopped sharing for a while. I used to get more negative comments and PMs than thanks on a thread.

I do not share to get thanks or 'good job' posts. I share so other people can make money and encourage others to share so I can learn something. But if you want to say I included nothing original that would be remarkable, because I only included things I do myself and I have not read before. Sure, I could have fluffed this up, but this was labeled an 'advanced guide' for a reason. I assume who is reading has a basic understanding of Amazon and I explained how I do things. I am assuming you have red my threads, other threads on this (Which is why I included the thread I have read by Nick) and are ready to learn a couple tweaks to improve your earning.

I did not promise an original guide. I only promised to share how I do things and my experience. If you would prefer a forum full of people posting about things they never did before and posts where people 'fluff' posts up to cover all basis, add me to your ignore list or go to another forum. Every member I learn from posts things from there perspective. Basstrackerboats, t0mmy, Leith, to name a few. The people I learn from do not share what someone else wrote, but what they experienced.

In conclusion, as I am about to leave, I never said you were wrong. I mentioned I was positive I shared things I have not read. Which is true. Again, I have only read the OP of Nicks thread on Amazon. I have not read many other Amazon threads.

I shared things I know as a fact were not shared before. Please prove me wrong that I shared something I have read before. Ask the admins to check my view history to see if I ever previously checked out those threads. I have not and am willing to bet 10K on the line for that. I also know as a fact no one has suggested my three KW sellers.

But this is splitting hairs and I am getting defensive. I never said you were wrong mate. I never insulted you. I never said you were not being honest. I offered to help you if you had any questions. The offer no longer stands as I do not want negativity. Good luck with your IM journey. Feel free to ignore my threads and please do not sign up for JR VIP and read my threads there. I have nothing to offer you besides how I do things. If that is not good enough, that is fine.

This is why I did not link. Plus, some members do not always sell services so linking to a thread would defeat the purpose.

Nice work! There are many Amazon affiliate site guides, but you covered the SEO aspect very well. This is where I always seem to need work. I subscribed and I just got motivated to start another website, Thanks!

Glad you liked it.

Thanx a lot for this very valuable information lightningblitz.

I have been following and bookmarking all of your threads recently and i am really impressed by the level of detail.

I have just one question:

Usually after posting the articles and without doing any link building on what range do your keywords rank?

I will answer you to prove you're wrong.

On this site, and in other situations where people are sharing/teaching, one gains much more knowledge by taking the good and ignoring the "redundant".

Perhaps you read and gathered everything that LBlitz shared from those other threads, but many others may have not. I don't recall reading those other ones although I am sure I read NickFlame's as I'm a fan of him as he shares good stuff.

When people share using words that nobody else has used in the past, it reaches different people different ways.

NickFlame shares one way, AragonRecord another, t0mmy different than those two, Leith has his own manner of communication... each person on the planet has their own style and method of communication.

Not all styles work for all people.

In fact, when I teach in a classroom setting, I say the same thing 4 different ways so that I reach as many as possible in that class. I'm intentionally redundant in a closed setting with only 20 people in order to make sure that all understand what I am trying to get across.

Chill out some; the OP is just giving back to the community and helping a ton of people in the process and what he has shared is spot on strong.

In addition to that, he's a good guy on several levels and not looking for glory here... he just wants to give to the community that has given to him.

You may be 100% right (I've seen your posts and you are smart), I personally do not care whether you are or not (and would never debate it as that takes away from the experience here), as that is missing the mark here.

This is an upbeat positive thread that will help people make money and posting disparaging comments is going to hurt some people in the process.

Let's keep it positive so that those that do read this thread walk away with good information, an opportunity to make money from that information and a good taste in their mouth from the experience on this thread.

The name of the game here is, "Let's all take the good we can and bank".

I think I posted between 20 - 100 pages. I do this because unless I have a super expansive niche I can get some KW canibalization. Plus I do not like to keep all of my eggs in one basket. If a site really takes off, sure, I make it bigger. But having done several hundred page site I decided to not go that route any longer.

2. There are many keywords that will have only ecommerce sites in the top 10? How do we decide if we want to go for that keyword?

I check the specific page back link profile. I am looking for total anchors, LSI and Exact Anchors. A page can rank due to semantic search, due to a lot of exact match links or because google has nothing better to put out. I look for the zero exact match links.

I also check top 20 or so to see if the ecom sites are pushing down results due to domain authority.

That is usually expansive enough to ensure I pick a valid KW.

3. Any recommendations to buy PBN links?

Most are garbage, I prefer Ranks[ire personally.

4. When I am reviewing best product lists, I tend to add a lot of links. 1st link is in the name of the product. Second link is in the image of the product and third links is at the end of the product review. Considering that I review around 5 products in one article, that seems like a lot of outbound links. Should I do away with this protocol?

Depends how long the content is. I do a contextual link and an image link per product plus a table with every product.

My rule is 1K words per product. I have never had problems with this word count.

5. For the link building strategy, why just limit ourselves to PBN and web 2.0.. Why not keep adding a few links every few days like doc shares, image links, video links, niche blog comments, forum profiles etc etc to give a great diversity as well as giving it a better push.

I do that do root domain and do a mixture of other links but the bulk of my link building is from the web 2.0s and PBN links.

6. I am getting good hang of the keyword research. I am able to find good amazon keywords with low competition. PLenty of below 20 competition(assessed by keyword revealer). Is it practical for me to consider giving exchanging my keywords for link building services since im short of cash for link building?

Absolutely. If you can make a JV with someone to do KW research and the other person provides link building on a shard site it is great.

The problem is some sellers who are not honest will take all of your KWs either way. It is hard to find someone you can trust, so a JV may be a better option as the other person has nothing to steal.

Replied on quote. Thank you for the great questions!

Thanx a lot for this very valuable information lightningblitz.

I have just one question:

Thank you for the kind words.

Depending on the KW, I normally make it in top 300 no problem without links. I notice now it takes longer for my sites to pop into SERPs for some reason even with super low competition KWs.

On this site, and in other situations where people are sharing/teaching, one gains much more knowledge by taking the good and ignoring the "redundant".

Thank you for the great and positive comments Greg. I think I may have taken my post too far.

Lesson learned. I tried to be positive but after reading it again, I sound like a prick!

awesome share, dont even dignify haters with a response. What are your recommendations on where to get a good domain from? I was going to just be running social traffic for a new project, but might as well make it more rounded and rank for some keywords, in which case a brand new domain might not be best.

Thank you for the kind words. That user was added to my ignore list and I will handle myself like a gentleman, I promise.

Best domain sellers on BHW now?

Accelerator_DD (Aka Darko) sells the best registered domains on BHW you can buy currently if only looking for a single domain.

SkyscraperSEO has some amazing domains occasionally which are in the tech niche but they are quite a bit more.

THATs really good to read, even after reading this I too want to start the amazing sites.
