The url redirect will work , but Facebook grab the image and description from the Authority Url .. instead of ur provided og data , because it say that :
The following will be treated as a redirect by the crawler:
A HTTP redirect
A <link rel="canonical" href=".." /> tag
A <meta property="og:url" content=".." /> tag
he follow the url and grab the real image and description .. he will not consider ur provided og info for title, image and description ..
Facebook is starting to ban the url that you redirect in my experience for these past days. Even on new domains that I bought.
Anyone having the same problem?
Is this strategy still effective for masking links and keeping them alive on facebook? Seems like a lot of people are having problems in these regards as of late with FB mass banning links. Their link detection mechanisms seem to be adapting.
