Instagram just put out a release stating that they plan on killing off many API compatible apps, and have said that they plan on having an all new standard that developer's have to build in accordance with by December. This will kill off many reading apps as well as many automated liking and following services that people offer here on BHW. We're about to see some major changes.

Hmm should I not purchase followliker then?
I use API in my website. To provide great photos to users. I hope
that this changes will not banned all people. I think the future of
social media is without numbers, and then no problems. I will click
follow or like and you will have that info for yourself. Instagram problem
is that they must put quality of photos to first place and numbers to second.

As they're stopping all the apps using the API, any bot/program using the API at the moment will stop working! Only those which work the black hat way without using the API will continue working but with a higher chance of getting your accounts suspended.

then that means you don't know what you're talking about...
plenty of software's are working without the API for this exact reason, you can't relay on Instagram's API.
they will screw anyone for profit, not that i'm blaming them since it's a smart move on their part.

From my knowledge, most bots use private API not public API - so this shouldn't bother any blackhatting.
This ^ . Instagram is not stopping the private API , the changes are for the public API

FL and other bots use the private API, this update will only affect the public one, so I don't really see any big changes in botting.
