BHW Mass Digg Idea

So if everyone on BHW started a separate Digg account strictly for BHW-related help, and whenever someone submitted a Digg, and we all Dugg the post, or most of us, for them, what then? What if every time we posted something to Digg, and them put the link on BHW, 300 people Dugg it within 24 hours no questions asked.

I dunno, just saying. I'd like it. Shoot it around in your head a bit, lemme know what you think.

I've thought about this as well. The only down side is that every time you asked for a bunch of Diggs, about 10,000 black hatters would see what you are promoting.

Still, feel free to debate the pros and cons.
 
Mm, good point there. What about for whitehat stuff like a general blog and such, where it doesn't matter who sees?

Not if a secret group of dedicated members kept it amongst themselves ;)

I can see this becoming like an invite-only torrent site. You have to generously help each other or get cut from the group.

But you have to have a large number of people for it to actually be effective... and eventually someone is going to start stealing niches/ideas. That is what Monty was saying.
 
My belief is this is exactly what many of the hardcore diggers do! I don't believe most articles end up on the front page, or go viral, by accident.
 
Not to pimp my project a little early but web2rule.com opens next week..You will be able to do this with digg, and about 40 other sites. I ll be giving out a bunch of free memberships to BHW , learned a lot here...time to payback. check it out and if you are interested pm me Ill get a list together and send some login cupons

I know, but I'm just saying it's easier to contain ideas within 300 people than 10,000... if many more black hatters knew about a topic, more people are likely to compete. At least within a group, everyone can have a no-compete agreement, so person B can't request a topic to be dugg if person A just posted a similar topic a week ago. The politics can get complicated though..
 
yeah this would come in handy if we could get enough people to do this and not steal each others niches. lol
 
Is there a way to Iframe Digg so people can dig it without seeing it.

I thought about something like this also.
 
It wont work as well as you think, Harro asked people to digg something he got around 100 thats it.
 
Maybe people could just give someone the digg accounts that they have.

So the ages are switched up. The one person who manages them then could DIGG everyones stuff.

Hell I will buy some aged DIGG accounts if anyone has them.
 
Unfortunately, digg will recognize if the same 300 users digg each submission. They busted up a digg ring on DP a couple months ago that did this same thing. What you need to do is have 300+ users but only show a digg to a random 1/3 of them to digg. That's the idea behind piqqus. You can purchase diggs and stumbles there or earn them for free (piqqus.com)
 
While this seems like a great idea, I agree it will not work because surely, surely, people will simply try n replicate your site or just copy whaever you are doing.
