Hello @OP I'm not sure if you made a mistake or not. But looking at your screenshots on the sale thread, about the keywords. Those are the screenshots from the Google Keyword Planner, if I'm not mistaken.

It clearly shows that the keywords are "low competition". Many people think this is a good thing, but it's actually not. To my understanding, this is the Adword Competition, NOT SEO competition. The lower adword competition, the less interest the keywords are. Meaning not a lot of people interest in the keywords, thus not a lot of advertisers willing to pay for the keywords, so the keywords are not profitable.

Why do you show keywords with low adword competition, in other words, why do you show keywords with little or no potential earning and make sites around them and sell them for hundred of dollars ?? I would think you want to show a keyword with High Adword Competition and Low SEO Competition ...

Please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just a little confused. Sorry if I'm speaking rubbish here.

PS: so I spent a few minutes and was able to dig out these keywords straight from the Google Keyword Planner tool:

small business saturday --- 27,100 local searches --- low competition --- $5.25 CPC
small business development center--- 3,600 local searches --- low competition --- $11.22 CPC
average credit card debt --- 2,900 local searches --- low competition --- $22.39 CPC

--- EVERYONE is free to use the above keywords or check them out for yourselves. The data was pulled today, September 18th 2015. The data from the Google Keyword Planner shows "low competition", but SEO competition analysis shows that these keywords are very difficult to rank.

Thanks.

Hi,
I understand that you are new to keyword research from your reply. Of course I know adwords competition and SERP competition is different. Take a look at this guide I wrote on 2011 explaining about this.

I totally agree about these keywords are very hard to rank.

Adwords competition and SERP are two different things. But they are directly proportional to each other. ie, if you take the keyword like you gave in your post "small business development center" they will be very competitive. The top 10 is filled with .gov and high profile websites. You will have tough time ranking it. The keyword "small business saturday" is a registered trademark keyword. We are never gonna outrank amex websites and sba sites.

And credit card debt keyword? I dont think I even need to explain this.

Lets take the low competition keywords like gave " how long does mosquito bite last?" If you see the top 10 results you will know that it will be lot easier to rank than keywords you gave. And yes, adwords competition is low. But google is very sophisticated these days. You will get ads based on your recent searches using cookies. You will easily get decent cpc.

I am not saying it is impossible to rank the high cpc keywords you gave. It will be very hard. Lets the finance niche keyword takes 100 links to rank in first page. where the low cpc keywords will take only 50 links.

Even we have sold a lot of websites in finance and real estate niches with high cpc. Its all client preference actually. We let client choose his niche. If the client is well experienced in SEO and have confidence that he can rank high cpc keywords he will ask for finance or health realted websites. If the client is new to IM we will suggest low competitive keywords that is easy to rank.

Well, I'm not sure if you understand my post. But ... your keyword "how long does mosquito bite last?" only shows about 70 local searches per month with low adword competition. What this tells me is, this keyword is of very least interest and is not profitable. 70 people in the entire USA search for it a month? Plus low adword competition, which means no one is paying for the keywords, and if no one is paying, how are we, the affliates, to make money ?

I'm NOT talking about ranking, I'm talking about the profitability of a keyword. So let's just say I'm able to rank for your above keyword easily. But then how will I make money off of it with only 70 people search for it a month and very low adword advertising ??
