Can we stop with the half naked women on the ads on BHW?

Guys,

Would it be too much to consider implementing a rule to ask advertisers to not use half naked women on the forums. I think this has been brought up before and it seems to be even more prevalent now.

The main issue with it is a lot of members like me browse BHW at work or at school and it almost becomes almost NSFW due to these ads. A glance from a far distance and someone can almost mistake it for a porn site.

Can we implement this rule? and I am hoping others can voice their opinion on this. I cant be the only one having this issue.

Just to clarify once more, I am NOT getting offended by it. I love looking at hot chicks too albeit at the right time and place. Like I said the problem is

1. Coming across said ads at work and school. I like the adblock suggestion. A little cumbersome if you have to install it on school or work computers especially if you use diff ones each time.

2. Why can't we maintain a bit of professionalism? I am sure we don't have to resort to scantily clad women to sell our services.

Edit 2: DD just posted in the thread that the current policy is allowing beach wear(i.e bikini). I would like to ask him and other staff members to reconsider this policy if enough people have an issue with it.

I totally agree with you OP. I also changed the theme to grey, because black+ads makes it look totally like a porn site. However now i blocked the ads with adblocker...

i totally agree with you OP, BHW needs more fully naked women, half-naked is out of fashion

on a more serious note, you aren't the only one having this issue, but you can be one of those who use adblock, if you don't want to block every ads, you can create your own rules to block only specific ads and you can also restrict the usage to only certain sites

i'm pretty sure our half-naked ladies in the ads are here to stay with us for a long long time

Yea, I think advertisers are better off not using naked women. Just look above, people are blocking their ads with adblock anyway because of it.

I think it would be beneficial for both users and advertisers if we could have a setting to turn SFW on and off. Advertisers would need to have two versions (or use same for both options) of the ads - one with a half-naked lady and one without.

This setting would stop me (and a lot of others I am sure) from using adblock on BHW, because, that is the only site I am using adblock for currently. Advertisers would get more exposure of their ads and those that wish to not have any at all, can use adblock if they wish to.

Just an idea that popped up in my mind.

on the other hand, adblock is highly customizable, you don't have to subscribe to any pre-compiled ad blocking filter subscriptions, if you don't want to
you can create your own ad blocking rules what you can use only on bhw which blocks all the ads you want, i think most people are not technically impaired here, i mean if it really bothers you, the solution is just a few clicks away, it's a lot faster than waiting for a solution which may never come

I think they should not display these ads. Not that I am not against seeing it, it's just it is obviously not relevant to the site or the service being offered. Clearly, they do this just because BHW is mostly male and half naked girls capture their attention.

I think it is unprofessional, and a lot of people would be put off by a site that advertises like this. "Why would I buy SEO services from people that advertise with naked women? We are not selling porn here" I think is a common thought.

It's girls in bikinis...I wouldn't call that half naked.

Look on Facebook and Instagram...you will see more skin.

*On a serious note.. and to the people above with "its very unprofessional" Wrong.. I've been using those banners on bhw for over 2 years.. now lots of others have since started to as well, why do you think that is?.. common sense should tell you it must be because it is working.
