because by refreshing your page a ton of times you are inflating you page impressions.

people do this if the use some dodgey technique to get clicks and their CTR goes to high, so to bring it back down - they refresh their page a million times.

so if you gonna do this, use a fake adsense account

Or one of your competitors Adsense account codes...

But that would be blackhat... hang on, wait.

Been thinking about this....

Google will hit your page to retrieve the content when you go to:
http://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

- select the "web-site content" option
- enter the URL you want Google to visit
- wait 20 seconds

...However, I haven't seen anything so far that suggests this indexes the page. And I expect Adsense would be similar (although I'm VERY happy to be proven wrong)


eskimo mentioned using a fake adsense account. With Adsense being spam nazi's, on second thought I'm not sure that I'd want to risk getting the black mark on one of my legit sites if this did work.

Black marks elsewhere? I can live with them.

google have few spyders ( they are different ones from adsense and the ones which are crawling the net to create the index ) ..... putting adsense into a fresh url and hit the refresh is not means the robot will come to your url ... means the adsense bot come here to '' check '' this robot is not indexing the page !!! it's just reading and categorize your content just to help them to display relevant ads - thing which maybe will help them to earn more .

AdSense Bots are different from Google Search bots. You will be surprised to see that a website banend from Google Search displays AdSense Ads. AdSense Ads have nothing to do with search results or rankings.

Nice thread, I would err on the side of caution and go with the ping instead of refresh the page... While indeed Google MAY not care if you refresh PSA, the key word there is MAY and since we don't know, use caution.

As to using someone else adsense account (or another of yours) don't forget that you're still using the same url to place the ads. I'd imagine (though I don't know) it would be pretty easy to tie the two together.

I'd have to say that this technique won't get you listed in G in 30-minutes. Yes, a spider does come to your site but it's not g00glebot. How do I know? I've been doing this with brand new sites - not refreshing the page like the OP wrote - and yes, your site is spidered but it's from their ad spider. I use it in the early stages to check and make sure my keywords and content are optimized correctly. If my page is optimized then I should only get ads based on the keyword I'm optimizing for. If the ads are not relevant then I (or G) am doing something wrong and I'll err to the side that I'm doing something wrong.

Not bashing the supposed technique or OP, just wanted to share this because I know first hand that it won't get you indexed quickly and probably has no bearing on being indexed in G at all in and of itself.

it is pagerank 2 with 500 pages and indexed only 220 pages it is 2 months now

I'm 99% sure google uses different spiders for indexing then for adsense. it might get you on a list to get the indexing spider o hit your site, but it won't put you in the index in 30 minutes.

Yeah the adsense bot and google bot are two different things, it will probably help to get google aware of your site, but I doesn't garuantee that you will get spidered.

This has been done years ago. But really you need is traffic not index, without link index does not help at all.


Aslo ad an alternative add just incase google serving the page with public ad, this way your page will get better chance of not being served by public ad

I personally use delicious to get my sites indexed pretty fast. Bookmark the site, add some tags, ping the tag sites (I even bookmark the sitemap site itself of my wordpress site). In the meantime I get some solid PR backlinks from other blogs and web20 sites like propeller etc. Your site gets indexed within hours...

In addition to my method, I also add my xml sitemap to the GWMT to make it easier for the Google bot. I use the google sitemap generator plugin for wordpress which is pure awesomeness. You can even use dgan's sitemap plugin (not the same kind of sitemap like the xml thing) and bookmark your sitemap url. This makes the bot finding all relevant links and spider them...

and being indexed by google is different than having rank

just cuz your indexed doesn't mean a thing unless google's sending you traffic
