Hey, I'm wondering if adsense is still a reliable source of income at this point in time

Most threads I see about adsense are aged and the AdSense section is under review

Do you still earn revenue with adsense? Is there still revenue (good revenue) to be made with adsense?

Adsense still works but because there are better options for small businesses, you will find lesser hype on forums.

Adsense will always be reliable, as long as you don't break the rules. Of course, the revenue probably isn't as good, as some other potential methods.

It is simply not worth driving visitors away from your content for pennies on the dollar. If you really want to make money from Adsense scrape Adwords advertisers in your niche, upload a better product than them or even resell their products and outbid them, and watch the real money come in.

Adsense is a great type of monetizing almost any type of traffic, from any country. The question is: Is your traffic source reliable? This is how I see the problem.

Hm, I'm actually running a download website with files from a very specific niche to download, don't know if you would consider that within the tech niche.

I thought about dropping adsense and just going with PPI, but I'm afraid that due to the hassle my visitors will just turn away to the competition, I'm gonna research more about it.

Adsense is only a preferred option if you are inside the right niche market.

If your vertical is poor, you would be better off putting CPM ads like pop ups and pounders along with multiple banners across your virtual real estate.

There are options better than adsense.
You try your best to get on the #1 of the SERP, and by Adsencse, you drive your traffic to another site, is that worth ?
You should join some affiliate program like Amazon, CPA...You should build your own email list, promote some products that pay you a decent commission....More profitable.
Not to mention that Google can ban you anytime, for no reason.
Adsense is outdated.
