Hey guys, I don't post much here but do lurk from time to time. I'm feeling generous this week and am willing to throw out some tips for you guys doing Facebook Advertising. My experience?... Well let's just say Ive done over 7 figures in sales from FB this year, and over 50% of that was profit. I don't proclaim to be god when it comes to this, but been around long enough to feel that I can offer some good advise.

For anyone getting started with FB, read this thread closely there is a lot of good info shared. Keep in mind however, that these numbers wont fall into your lap. I'm sure OP is working almost 24/7 to be able to sustain these stats, which is fine. This is still work y'all! I'm surprised he even found the time to keep up with this thread, would you with those numbers?

Awesome info you shared OP very useful.. I was wondering what has changed since your original post regarding the methods you discussed here. Are you still experiencing the same ROI's? Are your AD accounts still lasting 4-5 weeks on average? Any updates or insight on getting new AD accounts approved? (buying seasoned accts with photo docs, etc?)

What do you think about setting up a conversion tracking pixel, and after you got your first 100 clicks/conversions create a lookalike audience and switch to cpm instead of ocpm/cpc?
After reading trough your thread i completely changed my strategy... i will post the results if anybody interested.

EDIT: do you think cb direct linking could work with fb ads?

I've been simply stick to oCPM bidding recently. Ive been able to get 8-12 cent clicks on Facebook for my skin offers.

Quick question, do you read? If so can you recommend some go-to books for marketing? I've read everything Gary V but wanna' go a little deeper on the subject.

Sorry I havent read any marketing books. Everything I learned was through trial and error.

When creating Facebook accounts, wouldnt all VPS/proxies reflect "datacenters" automatically making it suspicious when you try and run ads? Im in California... I have access to cards, just limited on ip solutions here..

Ive been using VPSs for 2 years now. Sometimes your IP flags you, then you submit your ID and they open it again.

A question I have for you is if you like to just use "pure" power editor. or if you rely on any helper tools. Things like Qwaya, Adespresso, Social Ad Ninja.... I have tested a few and there's certainly many I've not heard of, but was just wondering if you grew it raw or found something indispensable to help, especially to allow you to scale.

Edit: Going back through prior answers I see you said that Qwaya was useful for split-testing segments and that Social Ad Ninja was not that great - so I guess I'd re-phrase to ask if there's other tools you find indespensible (aside from photoshop lol).

I now purely use Power Manager and dont use Qwaya however its still a great tool.

If you were to run your own business with lets say 100 EUR monthly membership digital product, what model of advertising would you use? You can't use cloaking and any other blackhat stuff.

a) Facebook ads that sell your product straight away
b) Facebook ads that send people to landing page with opt-in . Retargeting on those who did not optin.
c) Facebook ads to valuable content without opt-in. Then retargeting that promotes free opt-in offer.

I know many people hate when they are sent from ad to opt-in page so some people find it useful to warm them up first with good content.

Your CPC might be higher but conversion way better when it is time to sell them this expensive subscription product (you have big margin on the product so sale conversions are more important than price of clicks).

Landing pages are the key to sales. Im mostly skin and diet but most people are all using the same landing pages so finding one is easy.

Tracking link comes from the cloaker.

Using scraped emails of ACTIVE users of a page/fan page through softwares like Social Lead Gold would lead to a more targeted ad than all the people who've liked a certain page/fan page.

1. Can you confirm that Custom Audience is going to result in a ban?
2. Facebook as well as some other social networks are censored in my country so I use VPN to access them. Can I use my friend's CC from Australia for Facebook ads and manage my account through my regular VPN without the risk of getting banned? I'm going to use White Hat so no cloaking.

I dont use custom audiences so kinda hard to say.

2) All english speaking countries
3) Yes. Test
4) Banks and Amex

Ive done it in under 2 hours but for most people it may take a few weeks.

How much time do you put into your fanpages for these accounts you are using? Meaning, do you do a quick profile pic and cover image and then post a few posts? Or do you put more time into than that?

When you onboard a new account do you warm it up or do you create the account, fanpage, ad account and upload your first campaign all on the first day?

Hey buddy, first off my apologizes for bumping a inactive topic. I was actually reading over ya words a couple days ago and decided to reply today.

I read a reply of yours regarding how much investment is enough for Facebook ads, and well the question was if $40 was enough and you replied saying that it isn't enough. If we're talking about post engagement ads on a Facebook page, would you say different?

I mean, I heard way different about paid traffic no matter if it was post engagement ads on Facebook or if it was about running ads on Bing. I heard a guy from a CPA network that I'm currently working with mentioned that he only started with $20 and now he's making thousands every day.

I would like to know what you'd like to say about that; because to be honest here, it really got me a bit lost when you said that $40 wasn't enough. Of course, having just $40 in your wallet or PayPal for Facebook ads probably isn't enough depending on if you are experienced or not.

We all started from the bottom, right? IMO we all don't start with hundreds or thousands to invest with. Personally, I started with having about $200 in my PayPal for Facebook ads. It was enough because a friend was helping me a bit and I discovered enough of what he's doing to twist it around and to make it a unique way of how I do my very own work today.

I believe starting with a low bid, lets say $10 per ad is enough to test until you have discovered everything you need to know before investing how much you invest now, you posted $5k/day is how much you invest, right? Right well, I believe starting small and working your way up does work too. Unless you know absolutely nothing, then you might need more investment and more knowledge for testing ad campaigns.

I just had to reply to that because it got me a bit frustrated that you let that guy know that it's impossible to see success with a $40 investment. Which can be true and false at the same time, depending on if he has enough valuable knowledge to start from.

As for me, I am still a beginner with Facebook as a paid source however as I mentioned, I discovered enough of everything to bulk my way up to over $X,XXX daily. My advice is that you just need to know the right people, see the right competition, and to take all of that to turn it around to ya own creative online business from rags to riches.
