Actually SEOMasta it would take about 63,000 plays to make $250. Based upon the real working model of 70% of $0.007 per stream.
A bot would be very useful. Just an FYI for anyone developing... spotify considers it a stream once a user has listened to 30 seconds of the song or more.

I am actually in the business with my own music and you are, unfortunatly wrong.
Spotify, and I can verify this with a screenshot payed me slightly over 1$ for 11.000 plays.

Totally not worth it, and by the way 11.000 plays did not show up anywhere on any charts, so for apperances it was unessecary aswell

This is absolutely wrong. If you got $1.00 for 11,000 plays then your digital distributor is stealing from you. I am also a music artist with music on Spotify and although $0.007 per stream is a little high estimate, I routinely see between $0.003 and $0.004 per stream. That comes out to roughly $3.00-$4.00 per 1000 streams and that is exactly what my monthly royalty statements show to be true. Last month for example I had 45,000 streams and made around $145.00 from Spotify. Back on topic, I have developed a working method to provide unlimited spotify plays and after some more testing to decide if it is sustainable I may put together the method in a e-book and sell it to whoever is interested.

Where is that figure from? Personal tests? Always a lag on my side, so tough to tell. I tried testing this with lastfm which seems to require the entire song played. Wonder if they can find a string of 30second resets on their servers, tho. The fact that something is repeating isn't itself a hack as they include a repeat button.

Come on people, using a bot for Spotify is a joke, there's no way it would work reliably in the long run. Spotify's libraries require a premium account in order to be used in software, so you can't use a huge number of premium accounts. So each account will be playing the same track non-stop over and over, and how long before Spotify blocks those accounts? And delete those plays as fake.

This could get you a few k plays, but you can get 100k or 1mil with this.
