Make $$$ a day on autopilot method.

Jake, any update on the flyers?

OKAY GUYS!!!!! WAHOO! UPDATE

So I talked to the manager of 2 Mobil stations on the phone, and she said no matter what she can't put up the signs or do any personal advertising( TAKE NOT GUYS, THIS IS FOR ALL MAJOR CHAINS, PROBABLY NOT FOR SMALLER ONES OR PRIVATE ONES THOUGH ). So there I was, I had already bought the domain and setup everything and yet I had nothing. But I am not one to give up, so I called the manager up one more time and like Enrikole said I asked her if I could give them flyers, she said she can't hand them out but she'll put it in the little store where people buy snacks (decently trafficked). SO I HAVE A DEAL GUYS. DO WHAT ENRIKOLE SAID, TALK TO THE MANAGER, TELL THEM IT'S PERFORMANCE BASED AND THEY HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE, GIVE THEM FLYERS AND IF THEY CAN HAND THEM OUT GREAT, BUT IN MY CASE THEY ARE JUST GOING TO BE SITTING AT THE COUNTER OF NOT 1 BUT 2 GAS STATIONS!!!! I DON'T KNOW IF THIS WILL BE AS MUCH MONEY AS THE BANNER, but it is autopilot money except for new flyers.

I'm going to branch out, call more managers, still ask them if I can do the signs, but if I can't I'm fine with a shitload of flyers in the store waiting to be plucked.

By the way... flyers a wee bit expensive so I'll probably do business cards from Vista Print (You can get 250 for free here http://www.vistaprint.com/vp/pSearch/topDeals.aspx?GP=4%2f23%2f2009+6%3a56%3a52+PM&mk=Free+Business+Cards&ad=phrase)

Good luck guys. JNever give up!

Yeah alright so I somewhat have an update, but I am really busy with school.

So here's the deal, I got like 500 really professional business cards at my house.

They say:

GET A FREE $250 GAS CARD!
-----------------------------
Just Go To:
www.YourCityGas.com

Choose either:
Exxon/Mobile, BP, or Shell (depends on what the cpa offer says)

Now all I have to do is get some plastic business card holders, cost like 3 bucks plus shipping (I'm going to get like 5)

So total investment would be around 35 bucks for domain, cards, holders, etc.

Than you put them in the little shop on the main counter, and think about it, almost all of the people who take the card are going to be interested.
So that's 500 potential sales. Factor in that some people will forget, not want to enter their email, and you have around 300.
Than if you have an email submit paying like $1.30 or something, that's like 400 total, pay the owner like 150 or whatever, and that's an easy $250.

Now the reason this method is so good because the point is (either you put more money up in the beginning or use your new $250) and take the money you just earned, and buy like a fucking 3,000+ business cards. Then experiment and see how many cards are taken each day, multiple that by 30, and then give them a few extra. Every month when you pay them, give them more business cards.

You'll probably be going through like 50-60 cards a day per station (a shitload more, like 130/day if it's on the highway unlike mine that are in a town). That's like $35-$45 (in city) or $100+(highway/ well trafficked) per day per gas station. Setup like 5 highway ones, and you are making more money than the majority of people living in the US on autopilot. That is why this has so much potential.

So again the plastic placeholders a very important, don't skimp and make your own (you could also just snag some from some pizza place or something).

So I'll update you guys on the 2 in town places I'm setting up, gimme like a week or something till they ship in.

Stay tuned fellas.

A few more things.

1. I would advice you get a new domain for each station (or if a manager owns multiple stations like in my case, one per manager). Also always talk to the manager when setting this up and tell them it's in their interest the cards don't get lost, etc.

2. I would be interested what's going on so far for every one else (enrikole, nuvision, etc).

I'm using this offer btw:
hxxp://www.brandarama.com/efnp161dd8633?sud=53299
I'm pretty sure it's at MotiveInteractive, but i think neverblue has a higher paying one so I might be switching the forwarding to that. I just like the way this one looks.

Jake keep us updated. I live in Phoenix and there is a ton of small biz gas stations here. Im seriously considering doing this.

A similar method which I am highly tempted in befriending a store worker to do:

Go to your local video store, ask the counter person to put a leaflet in EVERY DVD case that is rented out offering a free trial for lovefilm/blockbuster/whatever CPA online rental company and linking to your domain that redirects to a CPA offer.

Hey Guys,

Can someone explain about the way to deal with getting leads from same zip code? If you do redirect the domain to the affil link- do you use a meta refresh tag, a php tag or what kind? Does this have to be cleared with an affil mgr? Can you just make a plain webpage and have the banner on it with info on gas prices and economy??

You ask yourself to many questions :D

- You don't say anything to your aff-mang. If he ask's, say that you do PPC from different companies like AdWords and that you track with Prosper202

- You should just blank (or redirect) the traffic with meta refresh and sent them directly to the CPA offer, and track conversion with Analytics OR use Prosper202 for tracking, and blanking.

- You also need a white-hat website/landing page

- About the same Zip-Code, say for example that you place bids on local keywords with PPC

If PPC is not allowed, make a website / blog about your city, and show this site your affiliate manager.

....and now after reading this, act to make money...don't be lazy. I'm already waiting for my business cards.

+++ You can do with this method a lot of other things, like putting some cards in restaraunt's, cinemas..etc...

I am pretty sure most Networks/AM's would be fine with this type of marketing. There is really nothing fraudulent about it at all. I would just ask your AM if this method is allowed, if not, then do it anyway in stealth mode. ;)

Ok, so this is right up my alley and I can't believe i didn't already think of this! I've been a total white hat guy for the past 9 years and we actually did something 'similar' with our own giveaway. We gave away something of high value and put contest boxes at about 35 restaurants in the waiting area where people are bored stiff waiting for their table. We used the emails for our own marketing purposes. Generated about 10 a day per location (350 per day total conversion from the 35 locations) but I can say that the contest boxes ended up somewhat hidden, but they also did not need to take any more action than drop the slip into the box.

Now I'm no blackhat expert, but I do wonder, is there any reason you could not do it this way and submit them yourself if you used some sort of proxy rotator, or would it just get too fishy looking to the aff manager? Do they do reverse lookups to see if the ip's are proxies or what? The beauty of doing this is you can build your own list this way, and then email them with other offers...

(I am thinking on the fly here so try and stay with me)... What if instead of having them sign up directly with the affiliate to start with they sign up on YOUR website instead. Then you follow up with an auto responder directing them to MULTIPLE different contests of a similar nature there are probably more than 1 gas offers even).
My guess is initially you will have less immediate conversions this way, but it may make up the difference by suggesting the multiple offer, PLUS you have yourself an email list of people who convert very well to free offers for you to mail with probably any other kind of email/zip submit offers.

Lastly, here are a few more ideas... go get someone to cut you out one of those vinyl decals for the back of your car window and put your offer on there. You are surrounded daily by people in their cars who may be interested... I own a vinly cutter myself so this is a no-brainer for me.

Got an extra vehicle? Put a vinyl decal on it and park it somewhere where its buzy, pointed to offer the best visibility to your decal (by the entrance to Walmart, Home Depot, Mall, etc where nobody else parks anyway) Just make sure you move your car around and dont leave it overnight or some over zealous security guard will have it towed. I actually have a 36' motorhome so I could make a HUGE BANNER *AND* get away with an overnight park at either Walmart, Lowes or lots of other RV friendly businesses, So I think I'm totally going to do this!

Lastly, why do it directly at the gas station? EVERYONE who has a car needs gas. Just go through the parking lot at the mall, walmart or wherever and slip your business cards on the drivers side door window by the door handle (people get irritated when you put them on the windshield wiper cuz they have to get back out of their car to take it off). Even cheaper than business cards (sometimes... you have to shop around) is what they call "club cards" (google 'cheap club cards'). This is what they use to promote nightclubs... You have several size choices and thicknesses of paper. Anyway, the gas station itsself would be nice, but if you think about it, they are not going to be entering to win right on the spot anyway (unless you do it like I said above) so what difference does it really make... not like you actually converted them on the spot while they are frustrated with paying the high price of gas (which would be best, and again why the contest box with slips would work best I think... plus the owner could count them and you have a way to reassure him that he's gonna get paid).

BTW, I have seen this done around here locally already, but never really thought about how *I* could do it... I assumed it was the actual company doing it (maybe it is, maybe it isn't I dunno)...

Last but not least... several people have already made really good suggestions... hire bums or kiddies to distribute the club cards, maybe even have one of them stand outside walmart and hit people up as they walk in or out like the girl scouts do... Maybe you could even team up with a local sports team or rotary club or some other youth organization and get them to go door to door collecting slips... Would make a great add-on to any other drive they are doing and you pay them .50 cents a pop to their organization... Think of the possibilities of what you could do with your very own mailing list of people who are suckers for helping out kids charities and how you could capatalize on this and you are friggin GOLDEN! Once again, you are able to email them at will with your next offer and your next and your next... The secret to list building is to never stop growing the list though... You should always flag them in some way in your database to where you obtained their name... that way you can remind them of it when you send your next offer... Also, you can never be comfortable with the size of your list.... you must always keep it growing because it will become saturated and worn out if you dont keep adding fresh names constantly...

Here is what I don't know, and would love to hear from the people who jumped right on this is what sort of conversions they are getting on a per flyer distributed bases... I've never done anything where you spend money to print something for only a $1.50 per conversion and I'm afraid this may make this cost prohibitive. I've done quite a few print campaigns but for things that convert into the hundreds of dollars over the course of time by having them on my mailing list, so this is a bit of a different concept for me.

I keep sa 'lastly' but this one has me really excited and I cant stop thinking... With all that I have said... there is really no reason you would have to use a CPA offer to start with if you want to build up your own mailing list of people interested in free gas... You could offer your own free giveaway (of gas or walmart gift card or whatever) and pay for it out of your pocket (or if you want to blackhat it, not even really give anything away... pick one of your friends as a fake winner for example... for this you could use a really meaty offer like a flat screen tv (gee anyone seen one of these bs offers before?)... My theory is this... if these people are willing to pay you $1.50 for an email/zip what do you think THEY ARE DOING to make money? hehehe, THEY are building a mailing list (like I have suggested) to repeatedly make money off these people with some kind of bs offer, AND probably renting their mailing list and making a killing. Why not do what THEY are doing?

any results to report? my initial thought about this is that this is very short term. think about a small town where people will come back and are pissed because they jumped through many hoops and ever received anything but spam. that gas station can lose a lot of customers fast and will eventually drop this partnership.

If you are worried about that Vivian then do it on a high way. I don't live in an extremely small town, and one of the two location is on a route(aka route 92, etc), I'm not sure or not whether that counts as a highway but it gets a heckload of traffic. Once the first one gets milked (which of course will take like a year) the highway one will stay pretty steady.

Hi enrikole,

This is a great idea. Unfortunately, I too am from the UK. However, it's given me some food for thought. There must be loads of other ideas that could be spun from this concept. If I come up with anything useful, I'll post it on this thread.

Hei,

Yeah the basic idea can be used with lots of offers. I am doing a twist of this method over this weekend and once the results are in , i shall let you guys know!

I have finals all this week so no reporting till that's done.

Making money is great, but an education and college are more important.

Yeah...study first for your on selfty for someday who know...:rain::rain:

awesome idea!! Im going to try this on 4 gas stations.

And placing leaflets on cars in the wal-mart parking lot wouldn't be bad either. :D

saying something like "6k people in this city will win" will probably bring higher conversions.
