Do You think it's ok to get 50 web20 created in one go? Or should I not buy the service and create like 2-3 web20 a day myself, cause it looks more natural?

You can tag paginated pages /2/ /3/ etc. as cannoncial. I think a lot of the SEO plugins for wp, and themes such as Genesis, does this for you. This is what a lot of ecommerce sites does for products ... I.e. A suit in size 48 is the same product with the same description as one in 50.

Nice Journey, i am trying to rank up my own website as well but just stuck in 2nd page for all major keywords. Google have indexed my website for over 6k keywords but all of them are 2nd to 5th page.. I do rank for some keywords in page 1 but that brings me only 200-300 UV a day. Would appreciate if you can give me some advice.

Do you think it is worth it to make a future authority site in a silo structure?

My sites are actually in a semi-silo structure... not exactly as the images that permeate the internet but they have a taste... perhaps it would be good to approach it like that.

How many projects are you currently working on at the moment?
(I am curious if most people focus on few or many)

I have mid 30's as to active as they are, 2 that are sites I spammed to death a year or so ago as a test (225 and 380 pages respectively, all outsourced content) that I am doing a little revival test on and I own some services that you see advertised here as well as some that are marketed in other places in other verticals.

That is seriously too much for one person and I'm fortunate to be blessed with quality partners on some of that and an excellent staff on all of it.

Not if you are going to index them all with backlinks. I could see you building and indexing them and then add in outbound links to your sites from them over a period of time but all at once does not make a lot of sense to me unless your site is 1,000 pages plus.

I have some 8,000 posts on this forum, many offer my thoughts... feel free to read what you see as beneficial. There are tons of much brighter guys than I here as well... some are BH in nature as to SEO, some are BH that are trying to do WH and some are WH... there is value in most of them I am sure.

Just yesterday, when I started reading this, I bought a fresh domain with a niche I have interest in and building a first, small authority site. You like to have authority sites with approximately 1500 articles and most of your sites are in business and finance. Your approximate revenue figures are some where around $2k-3k per month for each site.I thought that an authority site in a business/finance niche would be earning atleast 5k and above.

I don't know what others make or what they say they make but I know what my sites are generating.

It could be that I am leaving money on the table somewhere, it could be that the numbers you have are not being reported accurately or it could be some miscommunication. Or the difference could be something entirely different... I just don't know.

My biggest earner was a site making close to 4K with CPA offers and banner ads paid for by a couple of big box stores that I have since passed on to a family member.

There is no set minimum/maximum amount of earnings that determines what constitutes an authority site. That's what gets me about people when they talk about "Authority Sites". Most don't really even know what it means if a site is considered an authority. Actually, it cracks me up when people just wake up one day and decide, "Hey, I am going to build an authority site today". Well, the fact is it isn't that easy or simple. An authority site requires a ton of work, patience, and time. That's what I think gets lost in these journeys. **End of rant.

Anyway, I am doing this myself, and have been following along with BTB and also integrated NickFlame's Ultimate Guide To Building An Amazon Affiliate Niche Site thread into the process and am starting to get some great traction. I have, in the past 3-4 months, added 96 quality articles of varying length and 37 static pages of unique quality content. The keywords are very difficult to rank but, due to the nature of my site structure and content, I am getting 250-300 UVs per day and just had my best revenue day with it yesterday. I made $97.63 in commissions from items shipped yesterday and am at $223.37 for the month of January already. I am only sharing this with people so that they can see that it works as long as you work hard, stay committed, and avoid getting greedy (Staying away from GSA Blasts, etc, ...)

A friend of me is a enthusiastic writer. He dont know anything about IM, and just write for his own. I told him, that I make IM in my free time, and he offered me generous that i can have about 300 articles from him about a topic he had in his mind for a while.
The articles are very good, all between 600 and 4000 words long, but of course there are naturally written, and not based on specific keywords. I also dont have the time to rewrite all the articles, and I also dont want to modify his thinking's. When somebody paint a picture for you, you also dont want to change sth.
Do you have experience with such kinds of articles regarding ranking, etc.? Of course every text is different and focused on one part of the niche/topic.

If the articles are all in the same general niche, and not keyed to any particular keyword (phrase), they may still have a fair amount of value. My initial keyword research is almost always conversational content, and my initial articles follow suit. This content sounds like it fits in that thought process.

They are a tremendous opportunity to build a base for a decent sized site. That kind of content usually gets you ranked for lots of long tailed keywords that get you targeted traffic. It also gives your site the appearance that you are not just banging out content to garner KW traffic and that has value in the eyes of the search engines.

If I were in your shoes I would be looking at setting up a site and drip feeding those articles in while I was generating content that was keyword focused and add the KW focused content as well. You will end up with a pretty balanced site after a year or so and odds are it will generate a revenue stream in passive mode.

I would also take that friend to the nicest steak house within 200 miles and make sure he was treated like royalty for that content.

That is extremely generous.

Personally, I think being random with the content and not having a specific "Time frame" is probably what you would want to do.

This is an absolutely amazing journey thread. Read all 10 pages and got a lot of valuable tips.

I just tried dragon naturally speaking today and got over 800 words in 10 mins. It usually takes me forever to get a rough draft going. I can type faster than an average computer user, but I find it hard to write down what I want to say. Today I just chilled back and pretended I was explaining the topic to a friend. It turned out great. I did make a real rough outline of the key points first though.

I'm using adsense but earnings are still really low some days I make a couple of dollars and others like today I make only a dollar.

I'm going to bypass all those questions about Adsense and ask you this instead, "What other methods of monetzation have you tried?" That is a rhetorical question and hopefully will give you some reason to think about your site.

Adsense is not always the way to go to monetize a site; I use a variety of ones. In that we are talking about a a case study on a particular site, I'm only going to address what I am doing here in particular and that is using one adsense link unit and the rest of the monetization is eBay partner network. I'm actually doing some targeting of eBay Product This and eBay Product That with this site.

I had that one nice day of over 50.00 but it has generally been under 10.00 with a few spikes into the teens revenue wise daily.

Site Update ===========================

All the Web 2.0s are linked to the site and I am backlinking some of them now with a sort of GSA process. I have also built some new parasite/authority pages to the category pages... I mentioned that I was going to do that last week. I'll let them sit for a few weeks and then decide if I want to tier all of them, tier some of them or not tier any of them depending on what movement I see in the search engines.

I will also add more content to at least one of them as it would be natural to do for that property.

I'm still banging away at the content and will probably have 275 pages up by the end of the month... this is still not a big site by any means and has a lot of room to grow into a decent sized site.

I'm also still kicking around the idea of bringing in my friend that thought this niche would be good as a partner on this... he does not have any IM experience, is not really educated (he is not stupid by any means, just did not have some of the same opportunities many others have had) and is not very computer literate but he does know this niche and that is a real asset there.

For example "Best xyz product on ebay", "cheapest xyz product on ebay". I'm finding that general informational niche articles bring in traffic, but do not convert to sales too often.

The content is not that product centric for the most part but, like I always do with my sites, once it is a decent size and getting a decent amount of traffic, I'll play with the monetization.

There is an awful lot of content that is not related to products at all but rather to KWs that the users of the products would find compelling. It is more of a "soft backdoor sell" than a direct sell if that makes any sense.
