Wrong. The company that will bite Google is Amazon. It's already happening. I can't remember when was the last time I searched for product reviews on Google, while me and many people around me do this very often on Amazon. So the future -> Google second, Amazon - default. Yahoo - like now - under any radar.
 
Hmm was reading the same on Cnet looks like a little bad news for google.

But at last Yahoo ranking can bring some smile on faces!!

Your basing your future prediction solely on your opinion here. Just because you and some of the people around you (that you've noticed) use Amazon for product reviews, means nothing.

Is google a product review search engine, specifically now? Not even close

Not that I like google anymore than the next guy
 
But Yahoo so slow & Google works Fast.
 
This is great news indeed, but let's face it, most people will switch back to google, it really is a better search engine. But there are niches that will get a big boost from this :)
 
You guy's have the wrong end of the stick. Google have stopped paying firefox for them to be their default browser after a 3 year contract ended. So they have struck a deal with yahoo/bing.

its better a lot of the time, but not really all the time. For some searches the same site appears so many times ..

Google left Mozilla or Mozilla left Google, this is the same thing if the point is "Default Search Engine is Yahoo". Goggle may loss 50%(more or less) Search of Firefox User.

Product reviews aren't the only thing people search for on google, lol.

Keywords like "how to breakup" or "lose weight fast" are being searched by millions around the world on google.

And for the record, I still use google for any type of review. Whether physical or digital. It's hard for someone to break an old habit.

It's just like you where you use amazon to rely on product reviews. Would you use google if you were forced to? No.

Same goes with the MILLIONS of people who are accustomed to typing google.com on their browser. This change won't really affect google IMO.
 
Although the widest distribution of operating systems, and browsers is Microsoft.

Internet explorer has Bing as default. See the flaw in your argument yet?

If default search engine had any bearing on most popular/used search engine, then Bing would be it.
 
Damn I didn't realize that chrome has 40% or more of the browser market

july 2010 firefox had 30% now they are 17%
 
Yesterday, I installed Chrome for the..like..10th time. Thing looked too gimmicky. Haven't opened it again once I was done with it and I'll delete it again if I need some space on my PC.

Whenever you post facts you have to reference the source... it's a shame you didn't learn it early in life :(
 
I thought the majority of people that used google just went to google.com and didn't use the search bar.
 
I wouldn't mind using yahoo if their homepage wasn't so cluttered
