:( Well ya think you aline yourself with a so-called reputable company and then get burned! Uggh! I was all excited as this was my first project and was expecting $200. I got naughta! I had 4 different sign ups (all I knew personally) and they told me I wasn't getting paid because of nonpayment.. Strange, they managed to still have their sites up and running. No arguing with those crooks!

Tell them all 4 signups are from your friends and you can show them proof of invoice or payment that they have paid.

Don't even get me started on the http://www.blippitt.com/hostgator-now-with-more-failboat the past week.

Damn I am an affiliate with them too and faced same problem once but only for 1 sale. Time to jump off elsewhere I guess.

If I were you i would take them to civil court if INDEED you do have the invoices to prove your case.

Also i haven't paid in 2 month son my hostgator account and its still running, i also signed up my friend and they didn't give me commission for it

I signed up someone too and so far have not even seen any mention of having a referral credit on my account whatsoever.

for them to pay, the referral has to change the nameservers over and also make 2 recurring payments on the acct. I had 15 friends signup and they paid all of it

Seems a problem with many hosting companies. Some I had to beg and beg and only got paid after months. Others told me it has been paid to someone else. But I know it shouldn't be as my friend clicked on my link through the email. But anyway, most of them I got paid in the end but only after 10 or more emails.

I wonder what happens to those we don't know about? Seems like not worthwhile to promote unless you know the buyers.

OMG imagine me! I work in the building right accross the freeway. I see their building from my window all day. It is in Houston, TX (US290 & 34th Street). Its a shitty building but they do have their name at the top of the building like they run the place. I would never do business with them. Hostmonster sucks too.

There building is not shitty. Why would you say that? Thats why you cant really take anything people say here.

I highly doubt that is there office for a few reasons.

One they host NO servers. Proof is look up there nameservers you will see that they are all hosted by theplanet. They are just resellers. Basically the planet host there servers .

Two they outsource all of there customer service. So what would they need a great big building for. As a nice play toy to impress people? Be just a hair realistic here.

I can get a picture of a really nice building myself and photo shop my name on it as well. Does that mean it is truly my building?

Hostagtor is the biggest con in hosting EVER!

Honestly just by offering unlimited anything is FRAUD there is no magic drive they are going to put you on that has unlimited diskspace and unlimited bandwith. It just does not exist it is impossible.

used em awile ago and became more of pain than anything I hope they burn in hell loll

Look up their address on google maps and then click on street view--same building with the same moniker. 11251 Northwest Freeway, Houston, TX 77092

I worked in that area but it has been a long time since I've been back to Houston. But they do have some nice buildings so wouldn't put it pass them.

^^^ Exactly! I was waiting for somebody to do google street view. That is hostgator building and its not crap. And I also have a family member who works their right now. Yes I have gotton my competitors site taken down and all there files sent to me..lol

I wouldnt do it no more because its not fair and just wrong, plus I dpnt want karma to bite me.

HAHAHAHA OMG.... That is the building but that picture must be 100+ years old. It is a run down building and next time I drive by there I will take a picture and post it here. Regardless of their building.... Their service sucks so it doesn't matter what the building looks like. If someone is taking care of my needs I really dont care what their building looks like. Unfortunately in this case their service sucks and I wouldnt use them again.

Guys can you recommend a good webhosting program?

Why do they suck? Hostgator is the best hosting for whitehat work. Nothing beasts there customer service and technical support as well as uptime
