HI all,

Has anyone used stumblebot (stumblebot.com) yet? I believe its developed by Nova of the forums.

What results have people had with it? Was it effective to start driving mass traffic?

For example if you created 50 accounts and stumbled a page, are you likely to see a 1000 visists from that?

Anyone with any feedback would be appreciated

Full of bugs and doesn't work?? And where did you hear that load of crap from? Don't make such sweeping statements based on hearsay unless you can prove it. If you don't know how to setup and use a catch all, don't blame the software....

Oh and its spelled as "heard" not "haired"

Someone should post an honest review of this product. If it has bugs then I think someone other than Nova should review this product and tell us.

I'll give a little review coz I used it...
Initially there is a little bit of work that needs to be done to set it up and get it running - full picture and video help files are available if you get stuck at any point... I used a free hosting account to set up the catch all - as my own hosting account had mine locked and I needed to email support explaining why I needed it unlocked....anyways...

After setting it up I tried to create a couple of accounts to test it - it wasn't working initailly..none of the proxies were connecting...so the problem was either with the software or the proxies I was using.... I then visited nova's site and downloaded a free proxy checker - which saved me plenty...YES guys - it was the proxies I was using NOT the software..
The software works - and it works well....I used it for two full days - and never had any trouble with it.
Do I believe the software is worth the $147 - For sure
if you know how to use the software to your advantage you could be making back that $147 within minutes - Serious....
If anyone want to shoot me a question - I'll be happy to answer..
Great sofware nova...BTW - I noticed the buy buttons have been disabled on the site since ages...any idea when they'll be up and running?...I know you currently request payment by the email address - but that must be Killing your sales...

im trying to return to software and have a refund. i was told it has a trial period therefore cannot be refunded. i dun recall being told of this. the site currently has issues providing trial.

has anyone requested a refund?

I haven't honestly tried it. I'm currently developing my own Stumble Bot in PHP which I am going to freely release every single place that I can and all I will ask for in return is a back link to my website.

Releasing a stumble bot to public would be a really, really bad idea. just saying.

Being a PHP developer releasing this project would just make me feel good because there are people selling simple as PHP StumbleUpon scripts for hundreds of dollars. My script is complete but I'm a perfectionist and it will be released to the public when it's nearly close to being bug free. I don't care if it isn't a good idea to release it to the public, I don't expect any kind of respect and the backlink wouldn't be compulsory.

It's no different to someone selling it really. There are a lot of noob like people who can purchase these scripts still. I'm a firm believer in open source PHP for everyone, it's just the way I think.

Actually, there's a big difference between someone who is selling it and someone who is giving it away for free, when it's free thousands of people will download it and start using it, then stumbleupon will freakout and change their API. when it's being sold for $100 only a few people would buy it. There are some scripts that should just remain 'private'.

My Review of Stumblebot by Nova~~~~

First I do use this product (The paid version)

For me getting set up was very quick-
I nneded to contact my host for the Catchall unlock but that was NOT a problem-
The software chose user manes in blocks of 100 -
When using this software I suggest running behind TOR and change identity for every session...meaning you look like a new user-
Stumblebot then validates very fast... You do need to type in the Captcha.. so as fast as you can type this program will create accts-
Then the software will Validate and extract the passwd which is very fast and painless (I was actually quite impressed.
I then saved my profiles in difrent amount blockes.. ex 40 good female profiles, 30 good female profiles...etc...
I prefer to stumble 1 URL at the same time so that I can get the reviews and no problems at all-
When all of that was done The friend adder was fast and added friends to all of my accts from the ones that I selected.... some accts now have 40 friends...
All in all this is the best software that I have seen or used.. -
I have used PHP and DOS programs in the past all without the same results.

I only had 1 issue... I have a large database of female images that I used but the software only used the first 2 pics in the file... so all of my profiles have mostly the same image along with all of the friends.-

I need to create another 100 acts to see if this bug is fixed-- but for the most part I do not get any bugs in which I have read in this thread prior... This is a great little tool.

In a way you are correct. But my script isn't going to be easily accessible for just any old noob. You see my script will have a few noob traps to stop people without a little PHP experience using the program. Sure I could make it a simple script with a nice interface everyone in the family can use but that would allow everyone to use the script wouldn't it?

As for StumbleUpon changing their API, they use PHP and no matter what they do I can simply get my Packet Sniffer program running and know exactly what the StumbleUpon toolbar is sending to StumbleUpon.

does anyone have any kind of results they can share with this software? What I am interested in is if I run this for five hours a day to promote my sites, what kind of traffic will I drum up? If anyone can share their results, I would appreciate it. Thanks

What I want to know is doesn't stumbleupon eventually catch onto the catchall... it doesn't seem like a 100% solution
