Hi meathead1234, i have been reading around here that you are the best in flipping. Im new to flipping, however a good developer and keen to start. I have a website a client let me down wastnt able to complete the last payment. Thus i need to sell it, the site is an ecommerce site and only been running for 4 months. In those 4 months the website earns $8000 per month an average with 50 leads per conversion ratio. Im a developer hence im not willing to start an ecommerce website, and deal with sales. Please could you advise how much i could make selling the website?

The website is like etsy or ebay, vendors can list their own products and sell to consumers through 1 domain. Each sales makes the website owner 10% commission. the target market is an exclusive higher end market. Products are sold for much more than what you can get on ebay. Ebay sellers can sell products easily by using 1 click to import products by URL. Very simple and easy to use for current sellers. Obviously the website has all the bells and whistles when talking about competing with large corporations. All marketing features, coupons discounts, affiliates , automated emailing ect is all taken care of.

All current sales and traffic is organic, thus i know personally it will be extremely easy to scale and make at least 100 times as much that it currently makes. running cost is only hosting, as we don't use any marketing. The client however did want to market the website on price comparison sites. I have incorporated their feed requirements.


Please give me your opinion, we talking a very hitech website, and is not like others are asking on the forum for affiliate website sales ect, this is a solid piece of code thats made to sell millions of products. I would expect atleast $130 000.00. IS this to little or to much? Im happy to send the domain name, however i dont want to get kicked off the forum for spamming, and i cannot PM you because i dont have 15 posts yet.

I want to clean out some of my old sites, and earn some money to take on some new projects.

I've had major success with 2 websites in the apps niche. (Dutch and English version)
Age: January 2012/August 2012(English version)
Unique visitors: 567k, still doing ~350 a day.
Unique viral method that has generated ~100k Facebook likes/shares and ~18k tweets
Adsense income: €16k (20%ctr )
Mailing lists: 40k

The sites are in a growing niche, but I just cba to tune them to 2014 standards, hence the stats are getting worse. There are great opportunities for PPI, PPD, CPA and Adsense on the site. And off course there is the mailing list.

What could I ask for a site with stats like this?

- 1 million indexed pages in google

- source of earnings: only ads; normal banners and pops from different ad networks
- costs per month including hosting and other stuff: up to 500$ per month
- content type: tv shows website. The website just offers links to few file sharing websites where you can download or view the files. Depending on what file sharing websites you are using, you can make a lot of money from downloads too. In those $5000 - $7000 earnings are not included earnings from file sharing websites.

I`m interested to sell this website but i have no idea how much it`s worth. I need money for another project ...

Sounds solid. Assuming the niche is evergreen, I'd expect around 30x the monthly income for a site like that. So something around $10k.

Would be almost impossible to sell due to the niche. Too many legal issues.

Site is a reselling a service from a cheaper source with good markup.
If I spend $25 I'll sell for 75.
If I spend $75 ill sell for 150..
It's a quite popular niche where in my contry and people spend money on it but it requires some Q&A with clients via emails and posting on local classifieds to get free targeted traffic.
First day I started advertising (on local classified ads) I got a sale $150, second day $75 after that I stoped advertising to adjust bits and peaces on the site.

Total in 6 days
70 visitors (all are targeted)
2 sales
225 rev.
140 profit.

it has potential I think but I saw another project I want to get into...
Should I try selling it and investing in the new sites or should I try and grow it?

It's worthless right now. You need at least 6 months of history to extract any sort of value from a sale.

I have few sites which is about to expire and which are having loads of content to rank and bank for.
I made the sites with a thought that i'll make them authority site but due to time constraints & 9-5 job, i wasn't able to work on them at all.
I didn't have money to put into it's content. Hence, i started accepting quality guest posting articles to keep the sites up-to-date.
All the sites has more than 700+ words content and 100% relevant to the website's niche.
All sites are in wordpress.

As i understand that there is no proof of earnings nor traffic. I can't expect much. But for the amount of work i put into guest posting and hosting the sites etc. I'll be asking for the maintenance i did and for the sites and for the articles too which are BIG and uniquely crafted (Don't forget 700+ words count=Easy to rank).

Kindly let me know what you would like to quote for each site. I am ready to bargain.

I own a site that provides a much needed service. Unfortunately, it is branded to my name, though just my first name (which happens to be super generic).

We are currently doing $15,000+ per month revenue.
30% profit margin for myself (between $4,000 * $5,000/month profit).

97% of traffic is from FB ads.
A few hundred dollars/month comes in from Kindle sales that also generate new leads for the service etc.
Comes with a 2,600 person list.
Large customer base.
FB page with 3k fans off of ads that purely promotional.
Currently has 1 customer service person + 3 service fulfillment workers attached to it (they are trained to my specifications).
Essentially, at this point I just make sure people show up to work on time and that weekly invoicing minimums are met.
Systems for management and project execution are in place. Training videos for new hires etc.
It is a quiet little site.

I want to sell it because I am doing about 3 times that right now in royalties from Kindle and I would love a big chunk of change to pour into further advertising my fiction.

Any feedback would be MUCH appreciated.

Lots of factors that go into valuation of a site of that size. Assuming there are no major red flags and that income is consistent (and there are no major costs), it's probably worth $800-900k.
