I had two friends of mine say they dropped SERP rankings a couple days ago. But I'm chalking it up to coincidence rather than G-update. All my sites are fine.

Generally they don't announce algo updates before the event, in fact last August it was announced 2 or 3 weeks after it happened.

OP, I'm not sure where you got your info from, but Google does say that they do hundreds of updates each year. Divide that by thirty days and yes, there will probably be an update in May. In fact, there will probably be an update before that.

Why create such threads? You've been a member for over a year and you do not know Google does many updates each year?
