Click*bank vs Paydot*com

Hi guys

I have been reading a lot about Click*bank and Paydot*com lately.
Is there really much difference between the two?
Has Clickbank really been having that many problems?
And is paydotcom a better market place for Newbies?
Would appreciate your input on this matter...

Clickbank usually has the bigger launches and the bigger affiliates, but if you are an ebook author, you can offer it on PayDotCom for free and have affiliates sell it. Otherwise, I believe it costs $50 or so to advertise it on Clickbank.

For my own products, I use both Clickbank and Paydotcom for different products, and I haven't had any problems with either as a vendor. As wiz said, Paydotcom is free for your first product. Beyond that it's only a $29.95 fee for unlimited number as opposed to Clickbank's $49.95 right out of the gate.

Clickbank has a larger affiliate base and pays every two weeks, and always on time. Paydotcom has a decent affiliate marketplace and you get paid instantly via your paypal account. They both have their strong points and in my experience it pretty much evens out to a draw.

For promoting as an affiliate, I can't really say because I pretty much don't use either for AM so I have no tangible data to offer there.

CB does have a lot of the bigger name launches, but on the other hand these big name guys also use PDC for higher priced items.

Also, products that get rejected from CB almost always end up on PDC.

My advice is to use both. This will widen your selection of products to promote and niches to hit.

Clickbank is definitely a larger network, but they are a bunch of shaving snakes

Paydotcom has a bunch of products with sales pages that look like they were thrown together by some kindergarten kids with crayons and markers...lol

However, I love clickbank as they send me a good chunk of coin every month

It seems like Clickbank is falling off, however PDC has the disadvantage of only working exclusively with PP (for merchants that is, the affiliate program is nice if you opt in for a check). I would invest my time in PDC until CB gets its act together (platform upgrade?).

Yeah, but you have to remember too that with PDC the actual product owner is the person responsible to pay you...

I've been shafted a couple of times. It wasn't a whole lot of money so I just chalked it up to a "learning experience" but I would imagine that some people have been screwed for quite a bit...with Clickbank you know you are getting paid.

Clickbank is more pro (but certainly far from being perfect)

PDC
so slow
poor design for both affiliate & seller
very amateur
weak network of affiliates
but cheaper

CB
much more polished
decent customer service
great network of affiliates
more expensive
have their share of tracking problems
this is a real corporation with a big team, much more pro IMO

I have good experience with both (as an affiliate and seller) and IMO, CB is the only choice between the two.

clickbank are thieves and liars. They shave more than than my fucking barber and lie about it too when it's so obvious. The amount of sales I make is inversely propotional to the traffic I send. cos the more traffic I send to sales pages the less sales I make.


PDC is worse though, its up to the product owner to pay you and depending what mood they were in when they woke up they "might" pay you. There are tons of complaints against them. Its the DP of digital product sales and some of the sales pages look like they were done by a chimpanzee on crack.

At least clickwank pay you so I stick with them.

I like the fact that PDC doesn't have a maximum price and you don't have to allow refunds.

my barber doesn't do many shaves at all. It's 99.9% cuts and that's it.

Yeah if you track your own stats can you present them to clickbank and tell them to quit shaving?

I prefer clickbank because of its size.

but I like paydotcom for the fact that you can contact your affiliates (mass mail) with their mass mail feature. With CB you can't email your affiliates.

If you're starting out it might be a good idea to begin with CB as they're pretty much the standard platform out there for information/digital products.

PDC is good too, though, and has some unique benefits especially if you want your product to have a higher price point.
