Expired Domains - Just about PR etc?

So I have searched around on expireddomains and I see that it is easy to find PR5 domains and PR4 with alexa ranking also.
I was just wondering. It cant really be that easy, right? People are selling old domains on flippa and here for way more.
What is it I have to look for?

Fuck PR.
You need to pay attention to more than that.

Check the PA. (20+ is good)
Check the DA. (20+ is good)
Check its backlink profile. See what kinda of backlinks the domain has to be sure it wasn't just spammed to death.
Is it still indexed? Well you better check!
What about previous content? Lets check out WayBack Machine!
And how about its MozRank?
Is the TF good too? (10+ is good)
Is the CF good too? (10+ is good)

You need to check more than just the damn PR, if the PR was like 6, and all the other factors I mentioned were just
plain shitty as fuck, than it be a horrible domain to buy. I've seen PR6 links on fiverr for $5. Its a scam. Sure you
got the PR, but the other factors for those domains, are shit!

So pay attention to other things, than just the PR.

CF = Citation Flow, TF = Trust Flow, DA = Domain Authority, PA = Page Authority.

It checks the PA, DA, Mozrank, and Ext. Backlinks.

Great summary! I would also consider exploring more qualitative metrics like...blog comments, social stuff, consistent content, OBL, etc. Way back machine will normally help you out here.

The one point is, just Check backlink profile that itself give you whether that domain pr worth or not.

1. see whether spam links are their like comment, forum
2. check for word like porn, adult, viagra, p*nis enhancer, if found avoid that domain
3. Look for backink from high pr pages( pr3 to 7) esp. .gov, .edu. If found then that a diamond just buy it

look, you need quality links but since this site gonna be your buffer than quantity also matters.

check for 500+ links (from 50+ domains)
check if they likely to stick - homepage links got more chance of removing
check the overall quality and kind of links (are these *natural looking* links or made by some seo'er?)
I usually check the majestic stats only (trust 15+), don't care about moz stats.

now after you got the domain and you still want PR for it, go get some blog commenting service for $10 (get the packages with not a lot of comments but on very high pr pages like 4-7) and you'll have PR 2-4 in the next update. edit: make sure the d0f0ll0w and low number of outgoing links.

to filter fast go majestic >> anchor text >> any chinese shit / too much seo work = dump it (dont have to be porn or gambling, fucking "cheap uggs" is also a nono) and if you see the anchor diversity is ok then go on and check the other factors.

First thing first is to check if the pagerank is real or fake - type google info:domain.tld if you see the same domain on the very top, than this is real.
You can also check the social metrics like likes, tweets...

most of them have fake pr's (the one's in the red and yellow colors). you should select the green one's.
Now once you find a domain with good PR, first go to -

and see if the PR is correct or not, what is the alexa rank, does it have a wayback machine. See post #2 by acidol2 and follow those steps. You'll get used to the process of finding good domains pretty soon
