To answer your first question, apparently some version of WinZip don't like our archives for some strange reason. If you can, try unzipping with WinRAR. If you still have issues, let us know and we'll supply you with a new archive.

OK, I looked at the example forum, and it looks cool.

My questions and concerns are........

1. Every member that has a "post", it shows their sign up date as March 25th. Every single one of them! Will this pose an issue?

2. And the links that are in the posts look like the original posts and not placed by the owner of the forum.

So, is it possible to to have the join dates for the "members" be different? and is there the ability to manipulate the posts to incorporate your own aff links?

All in all, I think the idea of this is awesome. So much in fact that I just downloaded it. But I would like some clarification on the above questions please.

We're working on staggering and aging new user additions for the next edition so they'll appear to have joined at different times, but that forum also hasn't really been maintained since we put it online. It may be problematic only if a real person is using it and actually notices. To make it seem more realistic, you can add a small amount of users at install and then use the Add Users function to add a few everyday.

To answer your second question, we haven't made an ability to alter the links from original posts, but that is a fantastic idea and something I'll add to the enhancements list for the next version.

I am not the most tech savvy cat around, but I have to admit that I understand everything that I am watching and feel that I can install this bad boy and run with it pretty hard.

Some written instructions would be good though as they would be easier to follow for the instalation part of the script (not the phpbb installation, cos if you dont know how to do that then you shouldnt really need to buy the script!!)

I can't speak about any possible copyright infringements, because this is certainly scraped information, but I can say that we've had people running AdSense on their forums and they have not gotten into any sort of trouble with Google.

The advertising/monetization is easy: introduce some keyword linking, popups, popunders, banners, contextual forum ads.

The HARD part is to get that user-generated content consistently without struggling and constant monitoring so that you're attracting real targeted users who are actually interested in the products you may be marketing. The HARD part is what this product takes care of for you.

Yeah, you will definitely find some duplicate content on G, but if you plan on using your forum alone, you will need to "promote it" (AutoPligg it, link to it from auto-blogs, etc) just as you would any other site. You might want to consider loading up a few different instances of Forum Generator. One can be the recipient and money site and the others could be the inbound link generators. Doing promotion on either of the two link generation forums will then increase their ability to boost up the rankings of your money forum. You've got a lot of different options here in terms of how to scale and monetize with Forum Generator. This is definitely not a one-trick pony.
