Would you purchase a negative SEO service?

I wouldn't but if anybody was trying to screw with me then I would fuck them over and I wouldn't need to hire somebody else to do it.

Honestly? ^

No. For the ethical reason and just simply because it is so easy to do it yourself.

Why do people keeping missing the simple fact that if you do that to someone then they can easily turn around to thesame back to you in return! Neg SEO does NOT WORK for simple fact that if you kill someones site they will kill your site and you both lose!!

lol what. how would they know you were the one behind it? theres thousands of competitors in just about every market that could be behind it.

No from me.

2 reasons - Firstly I'm sort of against it on principle. Google are twats for facilitating a "spam for cash" mentality in the first place, I don't want to encourage their stupidity.

Also in niches where I'm 10th and want to be first - I'm going to have to go in hard on 9 sites - when I could just do positive SEO on one site (my own). Long run that is going to be a hell of a lot better no matter how you measure it.

The other reason is going to sound like a contradiction of what I just said, but it's not, it's just a practical truth.
If I wanted to fuck someone up with negative SEO (and I don't) - and do it PROPERLY... I'd do it myself.
I know how, I have the tools, the connections, the spare server time and the content.
The "special sauce" is buying cheap "ex SAPE " links that are now being thrown around for about a dollar a month each.
20 of them on anything but a pretty big site mixed in with 4 months of a cheap server pushing out shit content and links - and you'll sink most sites at an overall cost of maybe $200

"Spam For Cash"

Well done Google - Great invention

It's funny everybody say no, but nseo is more and more used, i get nseo so many time...

I have seen services online offering it for rep management.

For example if a rival company starts a site called "yourbrandreview.com" and ranks it for your brand name, with lots of fake reviews and bad press etc, then you would want that site removed however possible!

Technically that is NegativeSEO, using your SEO to Negatively influence a competitors business.

And in that instance, NegSEO is definitely useful, and ethical.

If you build a proper site, it will stand a neg SEO attack.

Even Google has started to address these issues and recently said that links FROM a bad neighborhood will not hurt most sites, but linking TO one will.

I had a customer get hit with 100's of thousands of Russian porn links, I even come on here and made a post asking for guidance.

I was told to disavow the links, and a few other things, but I never did anything, and the site is still as strong as ever.

Google did not send me an unnatural links warning, nothing happened at all. It never hurt the site at all.

I have a theory that Google lets out just enough info to keep IMers chasing the dream, and constantly snatches the run out fro under them, so they keep wasting their time.

Before I would do neg SEO on someone I would do positive SEO for their competitors. Boost up everyone BUT him, and let him stew in that.

There is a guy who stiffed a friend of mine in Austin. He had work done, then did a charge back. My friend and I are in the process of helping everyone on the front page but him.

For the first time I am enjoying watching someone's rankings slide.

It just takes a little extra work as I travel around, find a nice link and send it along.

Doing positive SEO for someone feels a lot better, Karma wise.

IMO, I don't see it as the right thing to do. It's always better to focus on your own website and bring quality information to the users than bring down a competitor's site.

If you wanna compete as a IMer do it with Big G not with a fellow IMer. If someone is doing something right try to appreciate it rather than trying to stab him on back. Negative SEO is an act of pure jealousy. That's not the way to success. Instead such activities will bring ourselves down.

Some thinks that Neg SEO is a blackhat technique which is very very wrong thinking. Blackhat SEO is about playing with G in way that G won't like.

There are many of people who would, there are many of people who say they wouldn't on a forum, although they really would, and there are many who would not.

There are several reasons why this is retarded....but I will just leave you with ONE:

Posting fake "negative" reviews is the same as posting "fake" positive reviews...here is a little info...

I have one question OP, would you be happy to run a service burning down peoples shops? You could offer your service to shops which are getting less custom than neighboring shops.

Very good analogy. I think this is a bad idea.

Nope, never.
If you cant outrank your competition honestly then this is not for you. Find another job, find something else.

I was negative seo last year and despite about 5000 porn links it really did not have much effect. Its just a waste of money to who ever done that play good or don't bother playing at all.

As an old proverb is saying: "To make bad is very easy to make good sometimes is impossible" :)

That is very unethical...the only legit reason of doing negative seo might be for reputation management to push down untrue content.

A lot of people here are equipped to do negative SEO themselves.

I personally would never purchase such services, nor attack another site. There was a time when I was extremely poor, and If someone were to do negative SEO on my sites I would of been out on the streets If It worked In their favor, and who knows where I would be now.

Couldn't Imagine potentially putting someone In a bad financial state, just for my own greed. Me outranking them legitimately Is a different story, as I am not wiping them off the face of the search engines.
