I need a new hobby

Hey guys,

I'd need your help. I'm looking for a new hobby. I'm bored as shit most of the time of the day because almost all my work is automated and I don't need to do anything pretty much.

So I was thinking I'll get a new hobby.

I'm into programming (11 years experience in web and desktop programming) and IT stuff, but I can build stuff and mess with electronics as well.

Guitar can be relatively cheap, depending on where you live.

do some charity, and I don't mean the money donation, but "active work". It is a nice feeling to help others and to do good things=)

or teach a friend of you IM-stuff. It is great to give your knowledge to someone who is willing to acquire it.

Also, people here don't believe IM and stuff like that.. so nobody don't want to learn that kind of stuff.. :/

I really don't want to do anything related to earning money because I want this hobby to clear my mind so I can be more efficient in making money

I like to play squash - give it a try.

I like to play basketball.. but it's difficult here since we have tons of snow when it's winter.. and it would be little bit stupid to rent a court inside only for myself

I agree with the charity comment, because although you may be bored there's some people out here really struggling to make ends meet so go out and do some charity work for someone. Also there's plenty of people right here on this site who are so frustrated that they haven't made a dime online and they try so hard, since you seem to have all your ducks in a row offer a little tutorial session.

I quit smoking and started jogging. I've found it to be a great social activity too, suddenly a whole new world opened up, thousands of people jog/run on street events...it's pretty awesome.
