Guys they said I could not get my money back because it was an "intangible item" since the software was "digital" and not a physical item, they say PayPal's Buyer Protection doesn't cover it. But they gave a me a refund on someone else who failed to deliver a bot and couldn't refund me on this one. Now my Paypal is negative 984 dollars.
you should have changed your claim to item received but not as it was....then have told to paypal that i brought software bla bla which i didn't received . I always do the same even for digital items when someone scams me .
Or you should have tried by talking to your bank manger if you paid via card !!

Do a chargeback on your CC? Then they would have to eat the loss. But your pp account would be banned.
Sorry you were scammed :/

Simply file a dispute and call paypal informing them of his multiple alias. He has contacted me before as well, but obviously a scammer. Call them up and inform them of his tactics.

They are able to dig up all his info and ban him horizontally through the system.

How does this low life scammer sleep at night??

What good would that do? Using my same PP account, I can add a new email to it in about 3 minutes, making it look completely different to anyone I sent it to.

I am sick of scammers. Had some experiences myself. I think his PP can be blocked if someone sent a small payment to that guy from a blacklisted IP/computer. I am not sure though. Any views?

They were never able to get the money from my CC. Now my paypal is negative $980. They keep calling me to put it back. Does anyone know if this will affect my Credit Score?

I tried he tricked the system by replying to the claim and then calling it an intangible item. I told them and they said there is nothing they can do about the scammer he's going to have to continue doing it to people.

He's under the new aliases now and all paypal is trying to do is take my money instead of find this scammer who is manipulating their system to steal other genuine peoples money. As long as it the negative paypal balance doesn't affect my credit score and they have to eat the loss I will be fine. Would like to pay it back sometime though. He just took the last of my funds.

Use credit cards to make payments is the best way as if you get scammed you can get your money back with in 1 - 5 days and they resolve the issue with getting the money back from where ever you sent it. Remember that credit card companys pay a lot of money in lawyers each month so who ever scams you will not be able to compete with them.
I have been scammed once and went to credit card company and with in 1 days my money was back in the account, all i had to do was provide proof of what went on.

Hope this helps you all

I think that is provided to us under Consumer Credit Act any is not likely to be valid in all the nations.

Clue is in the keyword. Credit score's are normally affected when you fail to repay credit etc, a debt from a case like PayPal isn't going to make to your credit file unless they obtain a CCJ against you. Are you in the UK?

yea paypal said they keep calling and then they work with the case with collections or something. i am in the US. i want to pay but cannot yet that lowlife took last of my capital funds

Funny paypal is always so quick to side with the buyer when they are trying to scam a legitimate seller, but now they have a buyer that was legitimate scammed buy a seller, and they still wont do anything.. screw paypal

the worst that will come from you owing paypal $980 is that you will now have to make a stealth paypl account, other than that I don't believe it will screw with your credit

still looking for someone with former experience on my situation with credit. they wont stop calling me, three times a day

LOL this is right on point......Do u have any IP addresses on this guy:?

Where I ask for two social media bots to be coded. He requested $1,200.00 dollars for both bots and once I sent it to him I found this....
cant post links

I took all the money out of my bank account before Paypal could so he couldn't take the money from me, so I think I am ok. But everyone should know that anyone under these alleged names is a scammer. To top it off, after I told him this was the last money my family has that I am giving him to make these bots for my start-up company, he still took the money with no remorse.

Never doing freelance job again without escrow.

Well overall, $1,200.00 full payment up front is not a very good idea. Doing maybe 50% or pay by feature and workload sent back to you seems more legit. Well would be more strategic to save yourself from scammers.

i think we found his real information. i was messaged by a fellow member of BHW and said he knows him as a scammer on another forum where people know him personally. im gonna sign up and post a thread on him there!

Paypal will take action on you soon. You better pay them now OR ready to pay $980 and 300% tax!

May I make a suggestion? I looked at your freelance thread, and a lot of those things you can accomplish yourself, and for free. Don't put all the money that your family needs into bots, when you can do the extra work yourself and it will cost you nothing. Just a suggestion. Do what you want. I just hate to see someone lose their life savings that was intended for their family's needs.

I hope you do. It's a great feeling to see members here succeed in IM. I just don't want anyone to lose their life savings.

I would never merge my family money with my work money
I would also never pay someone the whole money upfront specially through internet

I have a lot of experience in hacking and scamming. And I can say that 99% of scams happens cuz of the foolishness of the scammed person not the cleverness of the scammer

Sorry for being harsh but things like this makes me angry... I hate Scammers.
