Hi,
I'm 15, and I have a verified paypal address - but here's the problem:

I don't have a social security number. Plus, I'm mad paranoid, so I'm not sure if I'm allowed to use FakeNameGenerator.com.

Should I give up all hopes of EPN/CS or no?

All us citizen's have one. But you may be out of luck being only 15. Can you use your parents info?

You could also start a corp/LLC if you have a few hundred bucks laying around.

Wrong, not all US citizens have a SSN. You have to apply if you want to get one.

I don't think I have one. I mean, I may, but my parents may have it. And there's no way they'd let me give their social security to eBay. They are so paranoid because they know nothing about computers, so they don't put out any private information - I'm not joking.

And I don't have a few $100 bucks laying around.

Have your parents ever had to get social/government help? (food stamps, medical bills)

If so, you've got a SSN, you have to have one if they've applied for any help, because the gov. requires it for them to list you as an expense or deduction.

If no applies to the above, it's very easy to get your SSN. If you don't have a drivers license yet, you'll need your birth certificate to apply.

You need a bank account. That needs a verified ID, of which one is SSN. Come on, you're 15. You'll soon need a SSN anyway, so just get it. Part of growing up. Get a SSN. Get a Drivers License. Get a bank account. Pay taxes.

I would totally love to get my SSN, and I'm sure it's not that difficult. The problem is that my parents don't know about any of this internet marketing that I do.

If I told them I wanted a SSN so I can put it on the internet and get an eBay Partners Network count, they'd shoot it down. I'm just too tell them.

I mean, I suppose I could wait till this summer when I get a job and have to get a SSN.

My dad likes knowing and watching me get experience with computers, but all he thinks I do is design and make his site, other clients sites, and fix his computer. I don't know what'd they say if I said I was making money at the moment talking to random strangers (not ewhoring) and doing article flipping.

Summer's comin'. Shit, just go apply at MickyD's, work for a week or 2 and quit. Your parents HAVE to allow you a SSN for working. Once you have it, they have no control, and you're liable for any non-paying of taxes on that SSN.

Once you have it, they don't have to know where you're using YOUR personal SSN.

That number is going to follow you throughout your life. Your parents have no control of it. Consider yourself lucky, being a male. Females have to go thru red tape crap each time their last name changes, to ensure the damned SSN correlates.

I understand why they'd not let me put their SSN in a form for a company like, say, CPALead or Commission Junction (companies that I guarantee they've never heard of), but is that worth a shot?

How'd you get accepted into EPN? Did you use the VPN method or make your own site? Can I just put up a wordpress - outsource 10 articles - and get accepted?

PS: I have a Paypal acc't which they don't know about, so I can buy a dedicated IP.

I'm sure your father would be proud that you're earning money from the internet. He just doens't need to know exactly how!!

If you're designing sites now, just up that a bit.....I'll bet your father would help you with a little side line business. That way he knows you're starting to earn money.

It gives you an excuse to be on the computer more, and maybe even hit dad up for a laptop. You probably know enough about computers to make another sign on identity with your system, do it......that way dad or anyone can't find out what else you're doing, and how much more money you're making besides designing sites.

#2 There's a method on here about picking out names & addresses for EPNs, and websites for your application to ebay. You've got enough posts, it's in the CS section, something about how to get EPNs free.

YES, you can probably get accepted by putting up a wordpress page.

A SSN's earnings are reported to the IRS. Even if you made a boat load of money thru your parent's SSN, they'd still have to pay the taxes on it. I don't think they'd be too happy about that.

Even if a couple has help with the birth of their child (hospital & doctor bills).....meaning any government programs they're qualified for....., BEFORE the government will pay those bills, you have to apply and submit a SSN for that newborn child!

Be Careful.
Start reading about limits of deposits to bank accounts. The banks are legally instructed to report to the IRS any amounts above a set # per month.

Keep in mind, if that bank account is in your mom's name & SSN, SHE legally has control of it.

Who the hell would want to do 'Business' with another business that can't supply a SSN or EIN?

A 'Business' has a legal identity that is trackable.

We are talking here about a personal SSN, not a 'business'.
