How do the people who sell views do it?

They generate fake traffic using different proxies and a bot. Many sellers tell you that they have real people watching your videos but infact they don't. If you are lucky enough others use facebook referral views which means that they post your link on their huge facebook page to watch your videos. That my friend is how they do it.

Social exchange sites? Enhanceviews, Vagex etc.
But don't expect to get any conversions from those views. Those gigs are only for increasing your video's view count so it could rank better in Youtube.
Also, don't believe everything the sellers on Fiverr tell you, they're not always telling the truth. Use your judgement.

But if you buy 10,000 views then that means you have to have lots of proxies..........like more than 10,000. That us not cheap. you cant make money at $5 a pop. Can you?

You can reuse the proxies to sell it to other people. You see, a proxy can be used to view a video a few times so it doesn't mean that you need 10,000 proxies.
Well isnt too many views from the same proxy bad?

Maybe about 2 times is enough, not too many. It's to save proxies.

idk about this... wouldn't emulating recurring views to a video from the same proxies (not all let's say about 20-30%) pretty much tell youtube 'dude i really like this video so i want to see it again' ?

Yep, and they don't have a problem with it, I'd imagine. As long as it's not something silly
like two hundred view for the same video coming from one proxy. Then it's game over.

dudes there is some correct and some incorrect in your thinking.. you all are almost there but i know you cant point out one thing.. that is important in selling viral views.. good luck guys go on thinking..

there has to be some ratios. as the YT view providers here say: "a video will not be banned for receiving views because if that was the case anyone could just pick out the competition and spam it with views until they'll get banned"

i am not saying about retention rate.. i am talking about views count.. if you found how to get viral views count.. just normal we say.. then you can know automatically how to get retention views..

i've been babling about this with some of my friends who are coders/programmers... from their point of view there are checkpoints that the server sends in order to verify if you're actually watching the video
it goes something like this:
00:01 -> package sent asking 'have you watched this ?'
-> pc sends a package back saying he's watched it and he's ready to move to the next package
[this continues]
02:59 -> server sends package asking 'have you watched this ?'
-> pc says yes and that he's ready for a new package
-> server says that the video is over and sends the data packages containing the redirects to new videos and also telling the pc that it should stop expecting to receive packages
now if you can emulate this into a program that runs solely from a console (without actually running the video) you could provide views just by talking with the servers and telling them 'mate i've seen shit... bring in more shit' thus saving resources and actually being able to run a YT bot with 2-300-500-1000 threads from your home computer...
