So I've been creating Web 2.0 sites for backlinks, as per Kimi's SEO blueprint. I have a big list of the ones that work, and I just go down the list creating sites on them, then when I'm through all of them, I go through another proxy and do it all over again.
Something odd happened. On Wordpress and Tumblr, my accounts were terminated as soon as I signed up (so it must have been through an automated process of some kind) Said something about a terms of service violation. But I hadn't even posted anything yet. I got the ban message as soon as I tried to sign in for the first time. How could they know it was, well, spam?
A few points to get out of the way:
- My browser is set up to delete cookies as soon as I close it. I even deleted them beforehand just to be on the safe side.
- I was using a paid proxy, not a public one.
- I used a freshly created email address with a legitimate-sounding name.
- I filled out the Web 2.0 account details with legitimate-sounding information.
I used the same password for every account, but would they really go by that?
Any ideas about how they caught on (and how I can get around it) would be very much appreciated.
