Would be fun to see a journey thread on this idea. Was mentioned by Harro a few years back, some copy/paste dude a few months ago too. To make this worldwide you could use locals to collect and send perhaps?

EDIT: I misread, OP wants do go scooping, not sending. Might work too, people have paid for stranger things. And it would be worth it to me to have you running after my dog till it takes a dump. lolz (If I had a dog, which I don't.)

I think there was a movie about this with Adam Sandler. He made millions, but again, that was a movie.

I was thinking that

its not a bad idea, $40 a month to come round once a week and spend 2 mins picking up crap, outsource it to teens with bikes and pay them $2 per house.... I guess a lot of a single street would sign up for it as $40 is nothing...

I know it works in my area. It's not a very wealthy region, but there are pooper scoopers cleaning up! :p

That's actually a reasonable price. A lot of people (including my neighbors), don't like picking up dog poop. If I had a dog, I wouldn't mind paying the $40/month.

@OP - Good luck, you should also consider expanding into lawn care/mowing after taking off with the dog poop thing, or maybe other dog related things. People always like to bundle and save (e.g. pay per month for both dog poop & lawn mowing / trimming and save $xx).

Funny you say that.

It will be a multi hub station for pets.

Kitty litter change weekly
Dog waste pick up weekly
Pet friendly weed control applications safe for dogs ect ect
Organic pet products ( Treats, food, toys)
Dog walking

Also I will be marketing to rich areas with dog people in my city.

Storm social media hard and then collect.

Yeah, there's one of these services in my town. Seems like their doing pretty well. Their business is called "Pooper Scoopers"

I never thought there would be a market for picking up dog crap
 
This is not a bad business model. My ex-gf used to hire someone to come clean up all the poo in her backyard. She had 3 dogs and fostered dogs while waiting for the shelters to find homes for them.
 
Interesting idea! I would love to see a journey thread about this, it would show up everyone who snickered at you....

You can also sell the dog poop as garden fertilizer and make an extra income.

Kind of curious what a "sub' base" business mode is. Also, $40.00 a month will be too low to sustain a scooping business. I have been in this business for over 25 years and wrote a how to manual specifically for the Professional pooper scooper. Just google the professional scoop master and you can find if if you want. On the lighter side, if you can obtain 100 customers, you will be making a comfortable living for part time work! Do your research and good luck.
