how remove footer links from SMThemes ?

Could do with removing part of footer also, could you send me contact details please
 
From now on, I'm only going to help members who registered pre March 2013 on the forum. It looks like people only register to get footers removed. So if you registered after 28 February 2013, and also only have one post, don't bother to ask me.

Totally understand buddy, this is my first wordpress site, so just learning the ropes. I did google about links in footer and most are saying bad things, so understandably I would like it removed if possible. Will be hanging around on here soaking in the information. Will try your plugin and see if that helps.

Sorry bud, but the plugin won't work on smthemes as is
 
What I do use Windows GREP. It's a tool to search through text in multiple files. I download my WP themes folder that I want to search via FTP. Then rightclick the folder and select to search with GREP (this will search the entire folder for a certain text). You can search for anything you want to edit/remove, whether it's a CSS, a link, a DIV, etc.

If you don't know what to search for, you can use firefox's inspect element and find a string to search with GREP.

Wonderful advise bro, but it is a long process. Do you do it with smthemes as well?

Will give it aho, If anyone else can help I would be gratefull. Searched whole of web last night to no avail.
 
I do it with any theme I want to edit, really. I have only basic knowledge of CSS/html/php, so I pretty much rely on this tool to edit themes. It's pretty much trial and error for me. I try to edit something, preview it, and keep editing until it looks good.

Could seriously do with some help here please :( I know you have said for no one to ask, but I love this theme and as its my first time and I am still learning, is there any chance of of hint on how to remove this god awful footer.

Sorry but I have now spent 2 nights trying everything including editing bottom.php and smthemes jar file and im at the end of my tether.
