Is scrapebox dying?

I bought scrapebox a few months ago, close to a year ago actually and maybe it helped a little but I feel as if the life span of this product is coming to an end.

Wordpress comment back links are almost all no-follow and I think Google is smart enough to know that comments offer nearly 0 useful information. The same goes for the other built in supported CMS systems. I feel like Scrapebox needs a serious overhaul to be more useful. Unless anyone is willing to show me a new way to use it I don't see much help.

Blog Commenting is DEAD

Scrapebox should consider:

  • adding in social posting modes.
  • Account integration for said social posting.
  • Forum posting
  • Captcha support.
  • Wiki Posting
  • Article posting

Scrapebox use to be a much more effective tool but I fear that it is falling out of date. I know the new learning mode addon sounds great, but it too is mostly limited to comment spam.

Your post comes across like WSO copy, so I suspect you've an ulterior motive knocking down Scrapebox.

I went back and reformatted my post when I saw people were replying to it and so I thought I would make it look better. I will happily share a screen shot of my scrapebox.. Im actually using it right now to check some page ranks. Im just saying blog commenting is dead.

I listed features I WANT scrapebox to add.

And never once did I mention another tool in here.

Also, I don't have a Warrior Forum account. Too much money, too much spammy bullshit.

Eh no. Scrapebox is more than blog commenting now. Its great for link checking, duplicate remover and finding some high PR blogs if you know how to do it. I have ranked and still ranking sites solely on the basis of blog commenting. So it still works.

Scrapebox is one of the most powerfull and best tools i have ever used and for the price is insane most people would pay monthly to use a program like that and blog commenting is not even 10% of what you can use it for i dont even use it for that and i find it to be an amazing tool.

i use scrapebox everyday and the only single utility that i dont use is blog commenting. Scrapebox is a must-have tool.

Please tell me the other 90% that will help me rank my site.

ITT: veiled attempt at getting spoonfed a scrapebox tutorial it seems.

In regards to your suggestions of features to be added to SB: yeah they can add those(and they might in the near future), but the price sure won't be what it is currently. Would you then complain that the price shouldn't go up, or would you find something else that's wrong, such as the post success rate of the new modules? There are already plenty of existing software that already has the features you're looking for, and SB has the features those pieces of software don't have. As I see it, it's been a perfect mix so far.

Blog commenting isn't even 90% of scrapebox's interface...How you can think it's 90% of the software's function makes me feel sad that you don't appreciate scrapebox as much as I do.

If I were you I'd also do more research on how to write blog comments, when no-follow is just as good, how to link and anchor them correctly.

Everyone keeps saying that blog commenting isn't even a big part of it and that it is the "most powerful tool"

I own it and I really don't fnd it that helpful, so please tell me what you guys use it for..

I think they should rename it to relentless beast I bet Matt Cutts has nightmares about it

It used to be good for me when I could harvest with public proxies but since the G update with the limited requests per IP, public proxies became useless and any proxy in general, a private one wouldn't make much difference unless you got a huge budget to burn, buying private proxies on a constant basis. And since then, people can't use the harvesting tool and hence nothing to be shared on this forum, so I can't post to anything. So it's useless to me. I understand I could use the plugins but that's not the purpose why I bought the tool.

How come you can't harvest anymore with public proxies? I just scraped 900k with just over 200 Google passed at 100 connections took me 30 minutes do you want my proxy source? I can give it you

I really don't know, proxies always come blocked, they get blocked by G fast if you use an automation tool. And that'd be great, thanks.

Did you updated your scrapebox? With version 1.15.68 default proxy sources were updated. Using those sources + proxy heaven I've got yesterday over 600 google passed proxies. I used them for mass PR checker, not for scraping. I'm harvesting usually with private proxies using a low number of connections.

I just made a video, copied all the sources from SB to a notepad which took 10 minutes had to go to each one in the browser, even did a VT scan and I can?t even post it, BHW is saying I have to be here a little longer to post URLs and the file attachment is saying invalid text name.

I bought it quite a while ago and I personally did not like it as it was very slow. I wanted to use it for harvesting, but it was dead slow with public proxies, so it was a waste of money and I had to write my own. But there are a lot of users who are happy with it.

Comment posting is most definitely not dead. Using scrapebox and pretending like its 2009 is definitely dead times change. Methods die, and the usefulness of software the evolves.
