blackhatzen is Looking for Beta Testers!

There is no follow-up email yet. My apologies. I should have made that clear. We're just getting a list of people who are interested in doing the testing. We'll be sending out an email in the next week or so with a more detailed form for everyone to fill out. We'll use that information to fine tune our candidate list for each new product. After we select candidates, we'll send out non-disclosure agreements and more information.

The number of beta testers we need will change with each product, but testers that work out well will have preference. Ideally, we'd like to give everyone who applies a chance, but that could turn into quite a liability. Most likely we'll be choosing right around five people for the first test. If it works out as well as we're all hoping, we may increase the number of testers. In some cases we'll be looking for individuals with little or no marketing experience. In others, more experienced marketers will fit the bill. So even if you've never made a dollar online, think about at least applying. We're not about discrimination or belittling the unexperienced.

We've got two products in our development pipeline as of right now and another we've scheduled to begin development on soon. I can't give anymore information about what people will be testing, but I think the testers will be quite pleased.

ok i see. I signed up with the name "Joe" btw.

No worries. The second email will ask for full name and BHW username, among other things. We just want to get everyone who might be interested on the list.

Oldenstylehats, cant wait to see what you have in store for us...still making cash via your meta-marketing method.

Just signed up =]

Looking forward to this beta test.

thanks mate

Way too awesome politics :)

Now looks like this would be a nice opportunity to help the community and in the same time educate myself.

I applied, who knows :)

If you don't receive the confirmation email after filling out the form, check your spam folder. For some reason, some spam filters don't like our company name.

signed up and confirmed. oldenstylehats, thanks for the opportunity!

We've had a really fantastic response and we're thankful for that, but please don't let that stop you from signing up. We want to get as many people as possible so that when it comes time to select candidates, we have a large, diverse pool to choose from.

Beta tester applications were just sent out to everyone who has opted in. If you haven't received one and you believe you have opted in, please check your spam folder as some spam filters do not like our business name.

If anyone has any questions, please post them here so that we can answer them publicly.

i got no confirmation and i checked my spam folder can you please pm a cofirm link or something thanks

When should we expect to hear yes or no?
We're already starting to process applications. Second round emails will probably begin arriving later this week, early next week at the latest. That's when we'll be requesting information specific to the first beta product. If you don't receive a second round email this time, don't fret. Like I said earlier, there will be plenty of opportunities. The vetting process after the second round will involve phone calls, emails, and following up with the NDA and contract.

By the way, we won't be making individuals sign a strict NCA as we know that quite a few of you are also black hat merchants yourselves. However, please read all contracts you receive carefully as there will be very specific stipulations regarding the future commercial activities of beta testers. Nothing too restrictive, we just need to ensure that we're protecting our intellectual property. We hope that other merchants will understand.

Our goal is to have an active beta test up and operational by the end of February at the latest.

This may sound silly, being where we are, but would you consider including someone who does White Hat only ? I do have experience with WH, though.

I'm asking this so as not to waste anybody's time here.

Thanks

It doesn't sound silly at all. We're more concerned with an active interest in internet marketing than black hat or white hat marketing specifically. A lot of our customers can attest to the fact that while our products certainly have a strong black hat leaning, much of what we focus on are new approaches to thinking about business online. Thinking extends beyond hat color. White hats are certainly welcome to apply.
