1) what proxies are you using? I mean what company - I have used wac without proxies and with proxies. I can only say that buyproxies are working fine and rest either do not allow google scraping or need to have a list to allow scraping. This is very annoying.

2) Ok sorry for trouble - But personally i like a msgbox when the progress turns green otherwise an average joe will keep waiting.

3) Nice idea - added to my to do list. Usually i use all as this gives me best results for keywords

4) You see here i just save both scraper and builder details. I am too into seo for promoting a weight loss site and WAC too. But i download any keyword once on both methods and thensave it to my disk. Whenever i need content -> load scraper or builder content and build and it's done - No need to scrape again.

5) Hmmm alright again a nice idea and will be added to future upgrades.

6) How many times used is a great feature - It gets unique articles everytime you change the number. Remember not all sites have their own search engine and some use google so it's important to use this current method as i can always get different articles easily.

7) I am not finding article directories to scrape. I will explain this : WAC can scrape a total of 30 article sites. 10 of these have their own search method (so google is not involved) while SE mthod uses all 30 sites. Now i use the keyword and the site token to find the articles from that particular site which wac supports and then scrape it. Remember not all sites have same HTML coding and it is impossible to scrape any directory at free will. It has to be custom supported by WAC.

It's really nice that you wrote this in detail. If you want contact me at [email protected]. It's linked to my gmail account so i will answer any question quickly. Plus if you want i can assist you via teamviewer to get your scraping fixed. Also notice that i just send an update email for 2.8.1.

Another thing always wait for WAC to complete downloading and then start another project or stop it and then continue. You will see same sites being added at once but wait for it to complete and you will see articles being downloaded from different sites too. It's about thread so sometimes all different sites are downloaded first or all same are downloaded first. But always wait for WAC to complete scraping.

Just upgraded and the software stopped scraping. Not sure what to do to make it scrape again like usual. What gives?

Solution tried so far:

Uninstalling and installing and updating again (since installer was not updated) but no result.

Did you update through email link?

You will have to update through new download from the website link or the email link. There was a bug in auto-update which couldn't connect to hostgator ip which was fixed in new setup.

WAC Bugs/Functionality Issues:
======================
#1: Version displayed is 2.8. Isn't this 2.81 as stated in the email?

#2: Global settings were wiped out on update

#3: WAC running on monitor B. Browser in Monitor A. After downloading was complete, the status bar said "XX Articles Downloaded". However, the "Downloading done" dialog box didn't come up. I had to give focus to WAC before it appeared and of all things, it appeared on Monitor A. You need to tie the message box to its parent window and location and activate it because it doesn't have proper focus..

#4: New, Open, Save of a document. Very confusing because thre is many different stages of output we are working with here (Builder, Scraper, etc.). This is where a Wizard is more useful.

#5: PLR Locator why do I need this and what does this have to do with private label rights articles? A simple text editor or even Notepad can do the same. I would just remove this.

#6: Clicked research button. Typed in "dog food". Clicked download button. Process spun around doing nothing, giving no feedback in status bars. Looked to me like it wasn't even working at all so I had to close down the dialog box. Tried with proxies on and off.

#7: In the WAC spinner, I type in This is a test. This is a demo. Clicked AutoSpin button. Nothing happens. But if paste text from the build output it creates spintax. Why not let us type in this box, and let us cut and paste lines in and let it spin?

#9: Title creator. Typed in "Apple iPad". Got back a few results that don't have the keyword phrase in it. Why are they even coming up at all?

#10: Same steps as #9. Selected all titles. Right click. Chose Get all spun titles. Message box says they been copied to clipboard. Pasted in notepad. Nothing there except two curly braces.

#11 Same steps as #10, tried again. pasted. This time, it pasted. However, there were all sorts of problems. Empty lines, spaces between the | token and the first letter, multiple tokens with | on same line.

#12: TItle builder doesnt capitalize the keyword phrase in the titles

#13: Author Box: Got repeated errors "The remote server returned an error: (403) forbidden"

#14: wacsettings.txt is an empty file

#15: With line mode, after downloading/selection/addlines, in the scraper lines appear. Looking at them, you need to strip out non numbers and alphabeticals. There were a lot of lines with parenthesis, single and double quotes, etc. showing up as the first character in the line.

#16: Just realized that the Paragraph mode setting was set in all these cases. So why was I only getting lines instead of paragraphs? And if this was set to paragraph working mode, why is the status bar saying Lines?

#17: You need a test button and dialog box that presents itself to test out the proxy list. I want to know if my proxies are working within WAC. Launch N threads, go visit a specified website of our choice and see if an HTTP 200 is returned in under XX seconds.

#18: Color the background of the stop button to red with white text in the lower left hand corner. Cant tell its a button or that its even there because it melds with the lower toolbar. Lines in the lower right corner looks like a button but what is it? Say "Line mode" or "Working Mode: Line" instead, if thats what you mean.

#19: After pressing the Download button, it takes at least 30 seconds before something happens. What's it doing? Put up some more status messages to let us know because it looks like WAC has frozen.

#20: Provide us with the FULL URL to the article, not just the website. I want to know what exact URL this is coming from.

#21: Not liking the proxy format requiring semicolons. Its a pain in the ass having to go through each line replacing them. If I got 100 of these, I'm wasting too much time
going line by line every month replacing and saving. Why not just parse the proxy on a colon separator and then just know the format is:

#22: The Save As... feature in the scraper tab is excellent. That each article can be stored is highly useful. However, I still would like to see the article title and full URL path.

#23: The exporting to XML for sharing is useful. Still would like to see article title and full url path as well.

#24: Better file organization is needed. Perhaps a concept of a Project. A wizard that when app first starts up, shows a dialog box asking you to open an existing project or create a new one. For new projects, a dialog box asking for project name along with keyword phrase you want to associate with the project. If existing projects chosen, would put up file open dialog pointing at the root of all projects.

All files pertaining to a project would be stored in a project folder like so to keep it better organized:

Project (prj) files would contain custom global settings pertaining to the project. Use .prj extension, not .txt.

#25: Need statistics. Like total word count; number of paragraphs; keyword density; number of occurences of keyword in auto build document after spin Add this info just above the footer bar in the preview tab and also when you double click into the builder on an article.

#26: In the Builder tab, I want to directly edit the article and save it if I need to make changes. I also want to see the article filename.

#27: In the Scraper tab, have a checkbox column in the 1st position. Llet us checkbox the items we want to remove. People are going to go one by one into the returned article set to see if they are relevant. The minute you lose selection, you've lost everything you want to keep and add. Its easier to check the one's you don't want, then have a menu item "Remove checked" so that we can remove then one by one.

#28: In Scraper tab, give me the number of articles, not number of lines in the status bar. Besides, the number of lines is only relevant if you had double clicked into an article.

#29: Don't show the Article cleaner panel if we are not in Builder mode. Same with Article Spinner panel if we are in Scraper mode. The context of actions that can be applied to different views is all messed up. You aren't gray out actions or giving the user a sense of what can be applied to the current view.

The more and more I look at this app, the more I feel this should be Wizard driven. There is a definite "pipeline" process in all of this (Scrape, Filter, Edit, Spin). Pipelines are step by step driven, not contextually driven by menu or toolbar buttons which can be a nightmare to get right.

I got this a few times on the last release. What it means is that you have to do manual filtering, selection and addition.

After downloading is complete, filter out the articles you don't need (right click, remove/set parameters, etc)
After you are done, select all, to get the one's you want transferred to auto build.
Then choose add lines (if its lines)

I had 4700+ lines divided by 100 and had to go through each group, one at a time...

a bit of a pain ... if I had to do that 20 times a day I'd end up doing something violent to poor defenseless animals..

BTW I think you software is top notch - BRAVO!!

Just add more lines. Try with related keyword.
Go to settings-->autobuilder-->calculate . If there shows error, this means the lines are not enough for 1 article. If there shows 1 or more, than you can continue. I always click calculate and save on the settings before autobuild.

It means that your variations in settings are higher than your downloaded lines. Do one thing and get to me on support email. Right now iam off to bed so i will be online in 12 hrs. Send me an email and i will help you instantly.

BTW i am impressed with hatisblacked. If you all don't know him he belongs to a professional software marketing and promotion background with companies like EA sports etc.

I have myself considered few things in higher version like these :

1) Proxy testing after saving (or testing them on each site) - Not possible to change the split format. I know how to do it with :, but it's something else.
2) Wizard like solution - call it an automator - Just enter your keyword and tell wac what you want - senuke content, MS, UD, Bookmarks, html articles, or anything which it supports and it will be done for you without having to filter, add lines, mess up settings etc.
3) Status notes for that brief period of time when WAC is doing something but it looks like it hangs. I will put a status for each directory.

But first i have to add an amazing feature i have developed for senuke campaigns (create everything for a campaign in just one click) and MS export options. And then it will be another bug fix and then off to 3.0 with more languages etc.

and for the proxy problem with everyone here is a simple solution :

1) open notepad
2) paste all your proxies in your format - iport:usernameassword
3) press ctrl+h
4) in find write - :usernameassword
5) in replace type - ;username;password
6) do replace all

Hi guys, 2.8.2 is out. here is the change list :

1) Settings save error fixed on updating


2) Downloading log displayed at the end of download


3) Status updated for each action before downloading


4) Stop button visuals changed


5) Phrase level spinning fixed.


6) Updates will show changes from 2.8.2 onwards while updating


7) Add lines disabled while working in para mode


8) Content keeps adding after stop being clicked - fixed

Let me know if after updating you got your settings back or not because it can get very frustrating to lose them in every update.

After updating to the newest version, now I cannot login to my account, it says 'user doesn't exist', as well I cannot login to the website.
Email sent to the support, please fix this.
