Absolutely FED UP with Ubot(and clones) Which programming language should I learn??

I'm bursting with ideas and things I want to automate and make happen..

I've been using ubot (yes amateur hour) and it's got to the point now where I've had enough. Every time I leave one of my bots (even the most simple ones) it will be crashed when I come back to my computer. Like 70% of the time I use it it will crash - this is on every system I use and seems to be a trend with other marketers I've spoken with..

I'm a quick learner, I can use HTML and write very simple Javascript. I have so many ideas and things that I want to make a reality, what programming language would be best to start with.

I want to:

Manipulate websites (sign up, post etc) with threading.

Write programs that will interact with other programs - such as send a list of links from one server to another

And do most of the things that people use Zenno and Ubot for..

I feel that to excel to the next level of this industry (or do the stuff I want to do anyway) I'm going to have to sit down and learn this stuff. I'm very new to programming though, where is the best place to start and the most useful language for the things I want to do? Thanks for your advice and watch out for some KILLER bots in the future!

Well man like it all depends on what you want. You have to worry also about the portability too when considering what you want to program in.

If your going for Java applications, then is going to be hard having them as exe's. So you can go Python too, it has support for web apps extremely well.

There is also the most common languages people use, C# and .NET . You can also just do it in some c++,delphi etc.Plus,php is also a good scripting language that a lot of people use to make their own bots.

There is conventional scripting such as AutoITV3, I make all of my bots on those at the moment, is very convenient and no dependencies.Its free, easy to learn, and its pretty much has a lot of the windows api UDF , so thats good.

You could try vb.net, it is easy to learn, but isn't that great at interacting with websites.

C# or .NET

Dont go with plain C or C++ unless you need to manage memory yourself (unlikely for a beginner.) If you do, then switching won't be to hard, as they're fairly similar.

C# is probably the best and it has the side benefit of being a real programming language unlike ubot, zenno, etc.

I heard visual studio is good for stuff that uBot can accomplish. I've never understood why people would waste their time learning Zenno or uBot when they could invest a little (yes maybe a lot) more time in learning a programming language that will help them over and over again.

Have you tried contacting support about Ubot? The time it takes to learn Ubot compared to a real programming language is vastly different. It took me almost a year to learn C#, and about 3 days to learn Ubot.

I do some things in Visual Basic - which is the probably the easiest language to learn.

It takes much more time to build an app in Visual Basic than with Zenno. Actually IMO it doesn't make sense at all using something else than Zenno/Ubot unless you want to sell these apps. It just takes too much time.

If you use, then look for html packs, i think there is HTML agility pack. Zenno also can be used as such html pack - codecreator.

You tried zennoposter? I was running zenno on my PC for about 4 months 24hours a day, 7 days a week and no crashes. Maybe sometimes zenno was crashing but because of deathbycaptcha overload or my internet connection problems. I get external program to monitor if zenno is working or not. If zenno stopped because of some problems this program restarted zenno + load tasks. Everything was working fine form me.

Yeah, I did a few times and they just said things like, 'Make sure your operating system is stable'. I know I'm not alone in having problems with ubot.. I just find it the most cumbersome program ever, it takes a while to do anything, gets really freezy and buggy when you write a large bot and it's almost guaranteed to fail once you leave a compiled bot running for more than a few hours. The software I want to make is ssupposed to run 24/7 on a VPS, would you trust any ubot program to run like that? Personally I wouldn't even trust one 20 minutes.

Perfect example - yesterday I made a bot to sign up to reddit. It was extremely simple and took about 5 minutes to make, all it does is sign up, then change proxy and restart sign up process. I compiled it and set it to make 200 accounts - not an extreme order by any means. I go off to eat some food. I come back about 3 hours later, there's a sign on the screen saying ubot had some sort of fatal error with a code, then I look to see how many accounts it managed to make and it only got to 20 account sign ups before it just gave up and crashed.. so yeah if you're a very small time marketer you can just about to put up with it but the software I want to make is large complex stuff and ubot is just a joke for it really.. I mean for example I spent about 2 weeks meticulously working on it to make a bot which can sign up and post to 25+ web2.0s completely randomly so it's 100% natural, everything changes, the backgrounds, the layouts etc. This bot is needed to make me thousands of web2.0 - and it really should, however I cannot trust this thing - no way. I have to sit by it and make sure it doesn't crash. I need software that I can rely on to work for days unattended.. even just 5 hours unattended would make me happy, Ubot I have never got anything better than about 3. Best result I have EVER got was using that web2.0 bot and it made me 200 web2.0s with posts, pictures and links when I left it one night, that was the only time. The rest of the web2.0s had to be made with me sitting at the computer waiting for it to crash after periods of making about 20-30 web2.0s.. This was on multiple machines too and it wasn't just my bot as other staff in my company were making these bots too and having the exact same problems. I've cut my losses (both money and a TON of time) and I'm moving on to something proper and at the end of the day if software is what I want to make then I'm going to have to bite the bullet and do it properly AND it's going to save me a life time of cursing Ubot everytime I try to do something!

Just 1, I didn't want to spend even MORE money upgrading Ubot when I was already having serious doubts about its abilities and you can only multi-thread when you pay hundreds of dollars more for the upgraded version - seems multi-threading is one of the very few new features you get with it..

Very strange. Not sure if I've ever seen a single thread bot crash. I've done it when running too many threads, but not just one. Anyone else have this issue with a single threaded bot?

Well my OP is mature and unstable (XP). GSA is runing perfectly, zenno sometimes but rarely craches.

I know people who made 1 000 web 2.0s with zenno, but I do not know anyone who made as much with Ubot.

Also you should keep in mind these sites sometimes changes, with zenno if a template craches(because the site has changed something) that doesn't matter, because other templates will do their job. So 24 other will be executed sucesfully.

Though, I do not know what ubot is like.

Seems like Zenno is much more stable.. Still, I think I should just start to learn C# anyway, sooner I start, soon I can be writing programs!

Good luck with C#, you won't regret it! However, I would also suggest installing the latest version of .NET, which may fix your Ubot crashing issue.
