Easy $100 A Day - Perfect For Noobs

Hey folks
I just finished reading 37 pages (it took 5+ hours) and have made notes of things worth noting down.

Big thanks to meathead1234 (I wish I could come to London and buy you a drink for this :P ) for this thread. And fukien for his insightful posts, +rep for you mate.
+rep for FreddyJames for taking massive action and not giving up. I read your post here and yeah, we have the same kind of attitude. Tough guys :P

I'm going to give this a shot.

  • I'll do some niche research and will put up a website tomorrow with some reviews.
  • I have a friend who is willing to work for me full time (8 hours a day 5 days a week) for only $120/mo... yes thats super low but its actually nice money for a teen who knows nothing about IM.
  • I'll have to teach him about G alerts and stuff but he is not that dumb so with 3-4 hours of coaching he'll be good to go.

The plan is to test niches within first week (posting 100 links a day for each site... starting with two sites). After a week, I'll have pick the two winners to go with and scale things up from that point on.

Will keep you guys updated.

PS: fukien, added you on skype. Lets have a chat when you're free... I don't have anything useful to say, just want to waste your time (just kidding... I like connecting with like minded people.

PPS: How did this post get so long? LOL.

hi

This may already have been asked, but can you advise how you stop getting banned from forums for link dropping? Most mods these days will ban you if you have a low post count and drop a link in the post. Does that mean that you have to spend time increasing post count first in forums before posting or do you accept a certain level of ban rate?

thanks

I had no success with a review site that reviewed everything on clickbank, the design was abit crappy and didn't look trustworthy I guess. So I bought a new domain and concentrated on a health niche. I set it up with wordpress, made 4-5 quality posts surrounding 4-5 keywords, then set up 3 pages (to put them in the menu bar) of reviews of the best products in the niche. I also added an "about" page with a load of BS about how I was an expert on the niche, and will only promote products that I know work.

Started posting and commenting with links to my main URL, and 2-3 weeks later I'm averaging over $100 a day. This method works, and probably always will. 3 out of 10 visitors "hop" to the affiliate page, and 1 in around 70 hops convert. I'm also starting to get some organic traffic as my keywords start to climb the rankings too.

I think the key to success in this system is BE BELIEVABLE!

While most people will not care what your reviews actually say, they will want two things from a review - it needs to be scannable with sub-headings so they can quickly get the idea of the product, and they will expect it to be LONG with a score at the end out of 10. My rule is reviews need to be around 1500 words, with 1 pic per 500 words that is clickable through to the affiliate sales page.

Make sure your posts and comments add value to the article/thread. Make sure your site gives the impression you know what you are talking about, and gives good info away for free - do that and the $$$ roll in.

I will continue posting comments/links for this site until my organic traffic reaches 2k uniques a day when my keywords rank in the top 10, then I'll start a new site in a different niche and rinse/repeat. 2k uniques a day equate to roughly 600 hops and 9 orders a day - do the math, that's a very healthy passive income.

ps: While I was writing this post I made another $31.86. If you look back in this thread to the end of February I posted that I didnt think this method worked, so I was wrong.

pps. My reviews are top quality (ask fukien he's seen them) If anyone wants to know how I construct a review page post here and I'll gladly do a little tutorial.

This is my experience of forum marketing too. Its why I hesitate with this method a bit. Press releases seem not worth it either because I don't think they get any traffic.

I don't really post much on forums to be honest - I was getting banned too often also, so I'm now taking it real slow with forums to boost my reputation on them. I haven't given up on forums, just spending more time on what I know works.

If you set G-Alerts up correctly you will get a good idea within a week or two of what works and what doesn't. Once you have success with a link, analyze what you did and do more of it. It's at the stage for me now where I pretty much know where I should put my links and which places are a waste of time. I bookmark any articles or pages that I get success with, and keep an eye on those sites daily for any other opportunities to comment - you would be surprised where most of my traffic comes from.

The key is to not just give up. Any failure is just one step closer to success in my eyes now - if something doesn't work, I try to put a different spin on things, try a different approach, and test/retest every method. Some of my most succesful comments were comments that were extremely derogatory towards the article I was posting on.

I am reminded of a story of a guy years ago who was trying to invent the strongest glue imaginable. His attempts ended up with a glue that was really very weak, and would only just about stick to a flat surface. Instead of thinking "that doesn't work, I failed", he instead thought of how he could use it positively. Hey presto! - the Post-It-Note was invented and that guy is probably on a beach somewhere now sipping cocktails, with a wife young enough to be his grandaughter.

Thanks for the insightful reply man, thanks button hit! You have confirmed what i suspected about forums.

Would it be to cheeky to ask what type of places (other than forums) are working for you better? Blog comments or should i look out for other platforms?

Thanks in advance again mate

Just set up a ton of alerts in your niche, literally EVERYTHING you can think of, no matter how obscure, and comment on everything you can. It is time consuming at first yes, but you will soon see where the most successful places to post are.

HINT - find any sites in your niche with "powered by disqus" in the comments section - if you can get a comment past the moderators you'll easily get 10-20 hops a day from it.

you don't need lots of traffic to start making money, since these people are already planning to buy the product.

I think it's a great idea, but it would be more reliable if of course you replied to a couple postings first without URLs in your comment/reply. It would be too obvious to the moderator as to what your intentions are!:D

Looks good, even if it's harder to get "free" traffic based on spam... I mean even if the spam looks natural and human-like.

After all, traffic is king. But the best thing is that traffic can also be free... I have been in the adult biz for 12 years and the traffic was free 10 years ago. Not now.

So this is like a new life to me... just need to get to work and be creative! ;)

Thanks for the share.

I'm having a bit of a problem with Google alerts.

fL9Az.jpga

No matter what keyword I put in, it displays like 10 blogs and 20 discussions... thats all.

Is that normal?

PS: That "lose weight" keyword is just an example. I'm not going with weight loss niche.

I've also found Alerts to be pretty poor. But someone posted on page 1 i believe, type your keywords in to google, and click blogs &/or discussions in the left menu bar, and display searches from the last 10 mins/hour/24hrs and so on.

On many of google alerts, below the snippet on the right hand side will be "see all stories on this topic". I usually click that link instead, which gives you many more articles/blogs to post on than just what you get in your inbox. It's also a lot quicker to comment on each article that way, because every one will be written on roughly the same thing. That way you can make one comment, and copy/paste it into every article on the same subject.
